The men got to a hidden old building somewhere deep in a place Gale did not know or recognize. In the building, the men threw Gale into a room that could pass for a cellar. It was dark and misty in the room, but it got better when one of the men switched on the light in the room. Gale could see there was a small mattress on the floor and a pillow that Gale found disgusting on it. But that was all that the room had. It only got better for Gale because somehow, the light on managed to take his mind off the mist and cold of the room. Cade continued his work after thinking of a plan to bring Gale's abductors to book. He had to find a way to set his plan in motion for the next day. What had he planned to do? Firstly, he tracked Gale's phone with the last call he got, and found out the location. He wondered why the abductors were so clumsy as to letting Gale call him with his own phone. They must be amateurs or they were just so confident that they wouldn’t get caught so they didn’t bother taking precautions. Secondly, he got the ransom ready. They wanted the ransom to be brought to them physically. It was stressful and caused his banker to raise his brows, but Cade commanded the withdrawal of the amount that the abductors had asked him to bring and no one could argue with him. Thirdly, Cade made up his mind to be there in the morning. It was all too easy to come up with now that he had the location of the place. Cade waited until he saw a van driving out of the side of the building with men who were on their way to meet him at the place where he was supposed to meet him at the place they told him to drop off the money. He had the money with him hidden somewhere close by as a plan B, so if his rescue plan failed, he would use the money to try and pay them off to set him and Gale free. The van had passed through a hidden road in another direction that Cade guessed led to the highway. From the highway, no one would ever know that the road exists which was why his cab driver couldn’t drive into the forest. The incident of Gale's kidnap made Cade double him and Gale's security. He hired new bodyguards for Gale by himself, while he retained the old bodyguards he had for himself, and recruited new ones in addition to the bodyguards he had.
