13. ENCOUNTER

Sebastian, who was the shooter in the restaurant incident, has died at the hands of someone, whose identity remains unknown.

Someone sent Sebastian's head to the hotel, where Daren and Joshua were staying.

It remains a mystery, who killed Sebastian? Could the EAGLE EYE members be involved in this mystery?

"Is Xena coming back to Distric S01?" asked Daren very seriously.

He showed a flat expression. However, his mind was thinking about many things. Especially the plan to scramble EAGLE EYE's headquarters, which until this moment, was unknown where it was located?

In this case, Daren wanted to prove. He was capable of being a strong man

"Xena, don't say anything. She left everything to us." Joshua answered briefly.

Getting a mysterious shipment from someone, which contained a human head, made Joshua think even harder.

Moments after reading the threatening letter, Joshua immediately informed Xena.

The beautiful woman, it seemed, couldn't be bothered. From the way Xena had spoken in a terse, short and firm manner over the phone some time ago, Joshua had read the situation that was happening to Xena.

"So, what should we do next?"

Daren slightly removed his focus on the paved streets of District S01. The weather today, was quite favorable. Not too hot and not too rainy.

"Watch out, Daren! Up ahead!" Joshua shouted spontaneously.

Daren immediately hit the brakes, when a girl suddenly appeared. As if she was deliberately trying to crash into his car.

Joshua's head hit the dashboard quite hard, while Daren covered his forehead with his palm, so he didn't hit the steering wheel. However, the effect of the shock during the impromptu braking made his head hurt a little.

"Hey, mister! Don't you see, the traffic light is red! That means stop!" a girl shouted. She was banging on the front body of the car Daren was driving.

The girl's hand pointed at the red crosswalk light. It meant that the vehicle was prohibited from proceeding.

Daren was too focused on talking to Joshua to notice the crosswalk light, which was red.

Daren got out of the car. Joshua soon followed him out as well.

"Are you okay, Miss?" Daren admitted that he was at fault. Not paying attention to the traffic sign was quite fatal.

"Give me some money! I think I sprained my leg," the girl said, speaking in a high tone.

"What?" Daren muttered under his breath.

"Are you deaf, sir? I'm asking you for money, to treat my sprained leg! You must take responsibility, sir. Had you seen the traffic sign, this wouldn't have happened to me!"

The girl continued to grumble and scold the young man in front of her for his fault, who could not drive properly.

Daren was not evasive. It was true. He hadn't been paying attention to the crosswalk lights here.

"Here, Miss. Take it!" Joshua handed him his ATM card.

Joshua watched Daren from time to time. The bodyguard and member of Black Shadow, looked confused.

Daren reached into both pockets of his pants. However, his wallet was not there. Could it have been left behind at the hotel? Or maybe it had fallen somewhere, when Daren had chased Sebastian this morning?

"Take this card. You can use the money on this card to treat your sprained foot." Joshua said casually. For the man who had never been married, money was not a hard thing to come by.

The woman immediately snatched Joshua's ATM card.

"This time, I forgive you. If we meet again, I will not forgive you," the woman threatened quite seriously.

Joshua nodded in understanding. He said nothing more and got into the car. Daren, meanwhile, bowed in front of the woman, as a token of his apology.

Feeling that he had finished, Daren returned to the car. Meanwhile, the woman took a few steps back. She let the car pass first.

"We'll definitely meet again," she muttered, before she finally waltzed out of there.

She threw away Joshua's ATM card, then walked normally, like a normal person. There was no pain in her legs, as she had complained to Daren.

The woman gave a small grin. Walking a few steps, she stopped in front of a parked car.

A man opened the car door. He bowed slightly. "Please, Miss." He showed respect and obedience to the woman.

Who exactly was she?
