Chapter 4: Unlocking Skills

Even with the huge explosion, Ibuki was still standing there unscathed. They're not even tiny scars or injuries. Ibuki didn't even feel any pain or damage because of that explosion. He then began to laugh again and mocked Oldham that his attacks were weak.

Oldham was surprised to see Ibuki was unharmed even after taking that explosion. He then realized something weird about Ibuki. Oldham looks closely at Ibuki and he saw something around him. An aura that he was familiar with, a demon god aura.

"You aren't a normal undead..."

"Sadly I'm not...but the same can be said for you. You aren't just a human."

"HAHA! This man is nearly my vessel to greet you, my real body was elsewhere."

Ibuki now knows why this man has a godly vibe in his voice, Oldham was already dead by the strike he landed before. There is someone else using Oldham's body and continuing the fight with Ibuki.

There is no wonder why he unleashes that kind of spell that kills many of the people in this village. He wasn't Oldham, there was no way that a person from this village could unleash a huge explosion in his own place.

"Who are you then?"

"An undead doesn't need to know who am I... because when you know you will not even exist in this world."

"Is that so or are you just afraid that I would come there and kill you... I'm stronger than you."

"Stronger? This body could only hold 10% of my original power if I have my full power... you will be utterly destroyed by me."

"Would you like to prove that?"

"Sure but I don't know that you will survive this last spell of mine..."

Oldham's body started to change shape, it getting rounder a bigger every second. The one who possessed Oldham did tell his original location but he doubt that Ibuki could survive this explosion next. Ibuki realized that he was gonna blow up Oldham within this barrier, he gonna kill all of the people in there.

Ibuki just laughs as he knows that he will survive it no matter what, he doesn't even concern about the villager here. Oldham then exploded and the whole village within the barrier was on fire, all of the screams just lasted for a second but when the explosion happen. It all when silenced.

That explosion was bigger than before but Ibuki was still unharmed. The magical barrier was down after the explosion happen. Ibuki looks around as he saw many burnt corpses in the village, it reminds him of the corpse in the office.

He didn't feel anything about it before and currently, as well, he just thinks about one thing now. That was to meet the man who controlling Oldham. The man told Ibuki that his location was on those weird pillars but didn't tell which one as there were many of those pillars in this place.

Ibuki then began to walk away from that burnt village while he was about to do so. A person grabs his right leg.

Ibuki look down below and saw a woman holding his left leg, he heard something coming out from that woman. It seems that the woman tried to speak with Ibuki but her voice was so small that Ibuki needs to listen to it very carefully.

"P-P-l..."

It irritates Ibuki really much as he didn't really like people that talk with a small voice. The last time people talk like that with Ibuki, he screams in the ears telling the people to speak louder or else he will just punch the people's mouths himself.

The woman has many burnt marks on her body because of that explosion. In his head, he thought that this woman wouldn't make it and thought to end her life now as it was a generous offer from him. When he is about to chop off the woman's head with his scythe, the woman's voice becomes a bit louder. 

"P-P-Please s-sa-save me, I d-don't want t-to die."

Ibuki just laughs when he heard that woman pleads for her life. When he finishes laughing he just proceeds to chop that woman's head without trying to save her. Ibuki just saw that woman as a nuisance to him besides saving her life would be just a waste of Ibuki's time.

As he wanted to find which big pillars the man possessed Oldham resided in. There were many huge pillars in this place so Ibuki needed to go through every one of them to check whether that man was there or not. Ibuki was also curious about the weird pillars themselves.

He saw a huge pillar near the area and decided to check that pillar first. It only took a second for him to get to the outside of the pillar. Ibuki was amazed by himself to get here in just a few seconds but even with those power, he wanted to be a human and not a skeleton.

Ibuki notices that there was an entrance to the huge pillar, there were no other entrances to get into the pillars. He then walked through the pillar entrance and a huge light suddenly appear, blinding his sight for a few minutes.

But when he regained back his vision, he has a huge shock. He was floating above the ground and he wasn't in the forest anymore, the place had some buildings made out of rock or clay. He also saw more humans in the place, they don't seem to be as advanced as humanity in Ibuki's old world.

While looking at those humans, Ibuki notices that the place had many statues of a shovel made out of metal. He also realizes that there was no sky over him just a bunch of rocks. Ibuki wonders if he was in a huge cave but he knows that it was not.

The only thing he could do was to ask the human in this place, he then descends from the air. The human started to notice something in the air. They look closely and saw an undead with a scythe, they all started to panic and that's where the screaming began.

"GOD OF DEATH XUESIS HAS COME, GOD UVEL PLEASE SAVE US!" All of the people scream the same thing.

The people kept screaming and begging their god to save them. Ibuki really hates loud noises and as soon as he steps on the ground. He started to slaughter everyone that screams; he forgets that his objective in descending to the land was to ask the human about this place.

The more he killed, the more noises the human make. It irritates Ibuki a lot with all of the noises, and it only took a minute to kill all of the humans in the area. The area was finally free of noise, and Ibuki finally remembers what he was supposed to do.

With no one in the area, because Ibuki already killed them, he can't get detail of this weird place. Suddenly a shovel hit Ibuki's face, and it makes a scratch on his skeleton face. It quickly heals the gash as he looks up in the direction where the shovel was coming from.

It comes from the east of this weird place, Ibuki squinted his eyes to see that place. He was surprised that he could see clearly about the site even from where he was currently standing, it was 100 miles away. There were a large tower and a temple. When Ibuki finishes looking at that place, a pop-up appears in his sight.

[Achievement Unlock]

Ibuki didn't know that the system has an achievement function; he began to open up his system to see whether the achievement he unlocked just now was useful or not. He realized that there was a star behind the scouter one and he clicks on it.

>Scouter 1 = Unlock Skill Instant Scout and Map Function.

He now knows that the star was a detailed description of the achievement, Ibuki notices that it says that unlocked the Map Function. He checks his system once again and sees there is a new option that was a skill menu and a map menu.

The first thing Ibuki do was open up the new Skill Menu. There all the skill list was blank except for Skill Instant Scout which he just unlocked.

Even though the stats were all maxed out, Ibuki realizes that he needs to unlock achievement to be able to open the skill. He has just been slashing people with his scythe without using any skill. He wonders if he even needs to unlock them as he was pretty powerful compared to anyone he meets recently.

Ibuki then closes the skill menu and opens up the new Map Menu. The same problem occurred as the area on his map was blank. He felt that the plan was utterly useless and closed down the Map Menu. Ibuki tried to use his newly acquired skill, but when he activates it, a pop-up appears.

[Can't Use]

He tried again and again, yet the same result always happen. Ibuki was frustrated and let it out on the buildings around the area. After letting out all of his frustration, he was able to calm down and think about why the skill wouldn't work.

Ibuki then remembers that there is a star in the skill; he should read the description of that skill as it might give some info on how to use it.
