Chapter 5: God Of Death

After reading that, Ibuki reopens the map and uses the instant scout on the area in which the shovel was coming from. The section of the area now can be seen on the map, he realizes that there was some red dot moving on the map.

Ibuki clicks on the red dot and surprisingly another pop-up appears, the pop-up was about the red dot he just clicks on. The red dot means the enemy, it was also able to display their level. Ibuki realizes that all of the enemies there were just levels 10-15.

He would crush them easily but there was this one red dot that was far from the rest. Ibuki checked on the red dot and noticed that this particular person had a level much higher than the rest as this one was on level 50. Despite that, Ibuki knows that he could beat the enemy easily.

When Ibuki was just about to use the instant scout again, three shovels were coming his way. He already knew that something was coming to him as he could see it clearly on the map. As some silver dots were moving toward him.

Ibuki easily dodged all of the shovels, he also noticed that the shovels were thrown at the same place just like earlier. He was tired of being attacked all of the time, Ibuki then walks to that place calmly in the air. Many more shovels come toward him.

He managed to repel all of the incoming shovels using his scythe. They were people on the ground and they all panicked when they saw Ibuki walking in the air. In their eyes, they thought that he was the God Of Death. They began to scream and plead for their god to save him.

Ibuki couldn't stand the noise that the people on the ground made, he was getting annoyed by it as he walked past them. He decided to slaughter them all first before reaching his destination. Ibuki then descends to the ground and starts to kill.

It just takes a few seconds for Ibuki to silence all of them. He realized something while he was busy killing all of the people here. There's no one here that wants to fight against him, they all just beg or try to run when Ibuki Scythe touches their neck.

He checks this area on the map whether they are still people that he hadn't killed yet. There were no more red dots in the area and he proceeded to the place that Ibuki wanted to go. The place where the shovels are being thrown. Ibuki wanted to find who the one that threw the shovel was and kill that person.

This time, Ibuki wouldn't waste his time killing the people as he was on his nerves because of all of the shovels that were being thrown at him. Not even one second has passed as he already arrives at that place. Ibuki also killed all of the people around there.

Ibuki notices that the people he kills in this area were wearing armor. Looking at it, Ibuki realized that these people might be guards assigned in this area.

In his mind, he wonders why there weren't any people wearing armor in the previous area. This particular area must have something worth guarding for.

Ibuki checks his map, all of the red dots in the area are gone as he already killed them. But still, the shovels keep coming at him. The shovels were being thrown here as the silver dots kept popping up near him. Ibuki looked around and didn't see anyone throwing shovels at him in this area.

He rechecks the map to make sure there was no other person there. Ibuki realizes that the user might be invisible or doing some tricks to make him believe that that person was not in the area. Ibuki confirms that the shovels keep spawning in the same place as the silver dots kept appearing there.

"Just show yourself! I already saw you there!" Ibuki tried to scare that person off, "Better quit throwing those shovels on me or you will regret it."

Ibuki doesn't know whether the person throwing the shovels was there or not. He is just trying his best to make the person appear in front of him. The person still didn't show up and Ibuki doesn't like to wait that long.

He throws his scythe to the area where the shovels spawn. Then Ibuki hears something, it was like two heavy pieces of metal striking together. It gives out a loud, resonant sound. Ibuki looks to the place where the sound was made and realizes that it was coming from the direction he throws his scythe.

The scythe was on the ground, it should not be there. With the strength that Ibuki throws his scythe, it should at least hit the buildings ahead. His theory was correct as there was a person there and the person likely uses some sort of invisible spell or magic.

When Ibuki throws the scythe at that person directly, that person has no choice but to block it as it will hit that person. That way there was a sound in that place, it was the sound of that person blocking Ibuki's scythe with another metal object that the person had.

"If you still didn't want to appear right now, I would kill you... Like I said earlier, I already saw through it and that scythe was a warning." Ibuki said that and it works.

That person appears out of nowhere and it seems that that person was a male. He was wielding a shovel in his hand, but it was not an ordinary metal shovel. The shovel in his hand has a different design than the basic shovel that Ibuki had seen. It's shaped like a sword and it has a crimson color on all of the metal parts.

"Your luck has run out! I'm the one that was chosen by God Uvel himself..." That man said as he prepared his battle stance.

"Foolish human! Don't you hear what your people call me? I'm the God Of Death." Ibuki said.

"The people were just talking nonsense, God of Death? That God died a long time ago... you were just an undead that claims to be him."

Ibuki doesn't know what that man was talking about, but he realizes that this man knows this world. Ibuki then decided to not kill this man so early as he wanted to know what this man knew about this place.

"How about this? I will let you live but for that, you must tell me where the hell I am right now..." Ibuki said that to his opponent.

That man laughs as he replies to Ibuki, "Ha! You think just because you had seen through my invisible spell, you thought that you could defeat me."

"I was nice enough to offer you that but if you wanted to die right now, I will grant you a death that will make you regret declining the offer," Ibuki said as he lunged toward his opponent.

Ibuki's opponent prepares for it as he immediately attacks Ibuki the moment he gets near him. Ibuki does get hit and feels the pain of that attack. He realized that his opponent could hurt him but it doesn't make Ibuki scared at all.

Ibuki keeps attacking his opponent relentlessly with his bare hand. The best his opponent could do was to block all of the incoming attacks with his shovel.

Ibuki was surprised that he gained such an achievement. He didn't have the time to look at it as he was in the middle of delivering some blows to his opponent.

"I see that you're not powerful without your scythe, I think this is enough as it's my turn to hit you!" His opponent said that as the shovel that he currently wields began to light up.

Ibuki didn't know what it does as he doesn't even care about it; he continues to attack his opponent. Suddenly, Ibuki felt like his attack had become much slower than before.

He soon realizes that he couldn't move an inch anymore as he completely stops while he was about to attack his opponent.

With that, Ibuki's opponent finally had the chance to attack Ibuki. He hit Ibuki with his shovel, but Ibuki couldn't do anything as he couldn't move to block the incoming attack.

"I can't hear your scream undead? Was it because you're bound with my mighty light magic..." His opponent laughs as he continues to attack.

Ibuki couldn't stand himself being laughed at despite knowing that he was more powerful than his opponent. Ibuki struggles to get himself to move again.

Within a few seconds, Ibuki managed to break free from the bind that made him unable to do anything. To see himself being attacked by his opponent for a few minutes back then.

Ibuki's opponent quickly jumps backward as he sees Ibuki was able to move once again. He looks stunned as he thought that his magic was enough to bind Ibuki for a long time.

"How did a mere undead manage to free himself... that bind magic should hold you forever." His opponent said that to Ibuki.

"You're a fool for thinking that I'm just an undead, I already said that I was the God Of Death itself..." Ibuki said that.

Ibuki could see that his opponent's face was frightened, he somewhat believes that Ibuki might be the God Of Death like he proclaimed he was. His opponent immediately snatches away Ibuki's scythe and holds it in his hand.

Pointing the scythe towards Ibuki, "If you're the God Of Death, you will need your scythe to harvest my soul but right now, your scythe is in my possession." His opponent said that.

Ibuki replied to his opponent that he wouldn't need that scythe to kill him. He would defeat him without needing his scythe at all.

Ibuki said that as he realized that the achievement he just unlocked now also gives a new skill. Which enabled him to gain much more speed and attack speed plus a huge damage boost by a huge number. After knowing that, Ibuki immediately dashed toward his opponent.

His opponent couldn't do much as he couldn't see Ibuki at all as he was too fast for his opponent right now. The best he could do was use the same magic he used before hoping that it would somehow bind Ibuki once again.
