As Alarick sat in his office at the top floor of the high-rise building he now owned, he got a call from Brianna. He frowned when he saw her name pop up. It had just been about three weeks since she had told him that she was carrying his child, and she had been calling him a lot lately, saying she was sick or nauseous and had to see him for one reason or the other.He always went to see her but the calls were becoming too much now. As the days went by, Brianna kept to herself. She still saw Alarick around the mansion but she never tried to seduce him again after she had been humiliated by him the last time. But she still saw him around the mansion and they still had dinner together. Alarick’s father was never unpleasant to her but he never acknowledged her presence either. It was as if she didn’t even exist. He supported Alarick’s decision to bring Brianna to the mansion to live with them for the sake of his grandchild, but he never pretended to like Brianna or tolerate her presence. It was one of the foundations that his father had supported for years so he had to be present at the occasion as the new CEO of the King’s empire. The driver jumped off Brianna as he heard Alarick’s voice ring through his ears. He knew what he had done was wrong but it was Brianna who seduced him and told him that nothing was going on between her and Alarick. He didn’t know that she had planned to eventually let Alarick catch them after using him to her heart’s content. I’m still undecided if I should leave this company as a separate entity and groom it as such, or merge it with mine and operate under one body. Before that decision is made, work will continue however. I will work closely with your board of directors to ensure the company is restored to it’s former glory.
