CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

When Kevin saw Monica, he gave her a slight smile.

“What are you still standing there for? Make a cup of coffee for Monica.”

Martha snapped at Kevin but he just stood up there, leaning rightly on the arm ground.

Monica stood up and said,

“Ehrm… you don’t need to go through any trouble, I have things to do.”

Lily frowned at her friend,

“Monica, you don’t seem to be yourself. Are you okay?”

Lily asked her with a hint of doubt in her voice.

“That’s possible… maybe because I didn’t get enough sleep last night.” Monica explained.

Martha also felt that something was wrong. She thought about it and thought it was strange that she was leaving all because of Kevin.

It was James first and now Monica.

“Why is everyone afraid of this bum?” Martha thought to herself.

“Then go to the fridge and get us some fruits.”

Martha said as she barked at Kevin.

“There is really no need aunty. I still have some things to do at home so I’ll head back now. I just stopped by to say hi.”
