Chapter 13 Are You an Idiot?
"M-Master?" The old man's words were akin to a bomb being detonated.

It sent a shockwave rippling through the crowd, and Faye was especially stunned. Her eyes were almost popping out of their sockets.

She'd just mocked Marcus for not being able to afford a tire, yet the owner of twenty Rolls-Royce Phantoms was addressing him as his master. Her face burned with humiliation.

On the other hand, Vivian's mind was blank as she stared at Marcus in disbelief.

"O-Old man, have you got the wrong person? This guy's nothing but a loser who only knows how to leech off us! How can he possibly be your master?" Faye forced out through gritted teeth. She couldn't believe what was happening.

As soon as her words fell, the old man looked at her coolly and said, "Anyone who insults my master is courting death!"

In that instant, Faye felt a chill run down her spine.

It felt like the old man's gaze had come from the abyss; she had no doubt that he would murder her ruthlessly if she were to say another word.

Marcus cleared his throat, making the old man immediately drop his menacing aura.

Vivian recovered from her shock and tugged at his sleeve. "Marcus, what's going on? Why is he referring to you as his master?"

"It's nothing! I think Murray—Mr. Fletcher's probably looking for me. I was a frequent guest at their home, so they probably also think of me as one of their masters," Marcus lied.

He never would've expected Murray to pull something like this and wasn't pleased at all. "Let's go!" He headed over to the car as everyone watched him enviously.

The old man didn't dare make a sound as he hurried after Marcus. With a deafening roar, the engines of all twenty cars revved as they sped off.

Faye sighed in relief and slumped to the ground.

In the car, Marcus said coldly, "Murray, you'd better give me a good reason for this."

He'd repeatedly told Murray to maintain a low profile. Marcus didn't want his true identity to be revealed just yet. However, this grand entourage had almost blown his cover!

"S-Sir, I know I've made a mistake!" Murray almost fell to his knees to beg for mercy when he saw Marcus was mad.

After calming down somewhat, he continued, "This is one of the Pantheon of the Drakon's Deputy Mercenaries, Yannis Tiller. He's also among the top ten wealthiest men in Merania and has many connections. Earlier, you told me to dig around for news on the Coleman family in the capital, and he has made a huge discovery. That's why he came in person to report his findings to you!"

Deputy Mercenary of the Pantheon of the Drakon?

Marcus frowned.

He knew the Pantheon's Forces consisted of three Exemplars, six Warders, and 72 Gladiators.

As for Mercenaries, he'd never heard of them before. It was probably also a position in the Pantheon that was too unimportant for him to care.

Still, a Mercenary probably had a higher social standing than someone like Murray.

"Forgive me, Drakon. To be honest with you … it's not that I was trying to be high profile. These twenty Phantoms are already the least low-profile cars I own."

Yannis looked completely different from the severe, grim man from before. He rubbed his balding head and smiled awkwardly.

Were twenty Rolls-Royce Phantoms low profile to him?

Marcus rolled his eyes. "I won't pursue the matter this time, but don't do it again! Now, show me what you've found about the Coleman family."

At the mention of this, Marcus' gaze turned frosty. Because a stranger had proclaimed him the Harbinger of Death, his mother had banished him after slashing his tendons. Aside from that, his older twin brother had also hunted him down to get rid of him for good.

If he hadn't run into his old master, Marcus would've died ages ago.

"Yes, sir!" Yannis didn't dare delay when he sensed the frostiness in Marcus' aura. He quickly held out a document.

"Interesting … It seems my lovely brother has gotten leukemia, and only my bone marrow can save him. I bet that woman already has someone searching for me in Cromford City," Marcus sneered.

He clenched a fist around the armrest so tightly that it broke into pieces, stunning both Murray and Yannis.

It seemed that the Drakon was stronger than he looked …

"Good job, Yannis! Now, I want you to return to the capital and keep a close eye on everything the Coleman family does. Let me know immediately when they send someone to Cromford City," Marcus commanded.

"Yes, sir!" Yannis was excited because of Marcus' praise.

"Oh, right, Murray, how many villas are there on Hingbrook Hills?" Marcus suddenly recalled Vivian's dream. A doting expression flitted across his face.

"The villas were built around the hill, starting from the foot to the peak. There are six levels in total, with four villas each on the first five levels. The last level, which is the peak of the hill, only has one villa that's known as Pinnaclepoint Estate. In total, there are 21 villas. Aside from Pinnaclepoint Estate, the villas cost a hundred million dollars each. As for Pinnaclepoint Estate, it was once sold for three times that!" Murray had done his research on Hingbrook Hills' villas before and knew what he was talking about.

"Oh, okay. Buy them for me, then. My wife likes it there," Marcus said coolly.

"Yes, sir! Which villa would you prefer? Pinnaclepoint Estate is the only one that matches your status and wealth, so I'm assuming that's the one you want!" Murray said respectfully.

"Which one would I prefer?" Marcus looked at Murray like the latter was a fool. "Are you an idiot? I want you to buy all the villas there!"
