Chapter 5: The Magical Space Inside the Jade Ring

This scroll of paper seems large, floating, and undulating in front of Alex, emitting a faint and pure light.

However, the portion available for Alex to draw is very limited, almost equivalent to just one sheet of A4 paper.

Without much thought, Alex picks up the pen and attempts to draw a sword.

Drawing a sword is not difficult. Although the result is not perfect, it can still be recognized as the shape of a sword.

A dazzling light appears, and a "sword" hovers in front of Alex.

Clearly, it's the shape of a sword but only 30cm long. At the same time, Alex feels the energy in his body being quickly drained.

"Boom!" Alex falls directly onto the bed without the strength to move.

He looks up at the "sword" floating in front of him, truly feeling helpless.

He even feels like he could spurt blood!

What on earth is happening with this power?

At least a sword should have the standard length of a sword, right?

What is this thing in front of him? A kitchen knife?

Seemingly aware of Alex's thoughts, the light reappears.

When the light recedes, a new sword appears in front of Alex.

The sword is over a meter long this time, but the entire body is covered in dust.

The sword looks battered and bruised as if it would crumble to dust with just a slight touch.

Alex: "..." He really wants to scream out in exhaustion, but he has no strength.

Finally, Alex sighs and says, "Alright, go back to your original form."

The sword hears this and instantly returns to its original shape.

Alex consoles himself, thinking that it can probably still be used to filter fish bones.

No big deal. There is no need to lose hope.

Thinking this way, Alex feels somewhat more stable emotionally.

It takes more than thirty minutes for Alex to feel that he has regained some strength.

He slowly sits up, looks at the pen in front of him, and says, "Next time, can you let me know how much of my energy you need to draw something?"

It's really dangerous.

If he were on the battlefield, using this power would just leave him lying there. There's no point in fighting. Just go straight to the coffin!

The pen shakes, seemingly responding to Alex.

Alex exhales, feeling the difficulty of his own upgrade.

He's only at level F, and it has already drained so much of his energy.

What about when he reaches level L?

He feels an urgent need to increase his physical strength quickly.

Alex glances at the board in front of him again, only now noticing a line of text at the bottom.

[Special Supplementary Power: Reset (hidden)]

There is no note or explanation below this power.

Alex couldn't help but furrow his brows slightly, but he didn't think much about it, deciding to explore it later.

With that in mind, he retracted his abilities, and in an instant, both the pen and paper disappeared, leaving the shabby room with only Alex.

Taking a deep breath, Alex looked towards the jade ring on the table.

He picked up the ring, his hand reaching behind, inadvertently touching the hilt of the sword.

Alex immediately frowned, raising his hand, and it seemed that a cut had appeared on his finger.

Alex couldn't help but admire his own short sword, saying, "You're really sharp."

He felt that next time, he should draw a scabbard for this short sword.

Without much thought, Alex quickly looked for something to bandage himself.

At this moment, he didn't even notice that the jade ring he placed on the table had a bit of blood on it.

Suddenly, the ring lit up, and the blood quickly disappeared.

Just bending down to find a bandage, Alex was surprised when he looked up.

The scenery had changed!

Now, Alex was in a completely different space.

The sky was a jade green color, and the space was shrouded in mist.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, dispersing the mist revealing the true appearance of the space.

The space was incredibly vast, perhaps as wide as a football field, with a smooth ground devoid of any objects.

In the distance was a body of water, with water flowing smoothly, though Alex didn't know where the water came from in this space.

Alex, immersed in astonishment, quickly calmed down.

He recalled what had just happened; it seemed that he had to smear blood on this jade ring to become its owner and unlock it.

Alex felt that with this space, he could store a lot of things.

Anyway, he did not intend to rent the space like Julia and Steven, so he didn't pay much attention to its size.

Moreover, the future was not a time of food scarcity, and he didn't need to stock up on food.

Perhaps he could store some hot weapons for convenient use during dungeon missions, Alex thought.

He slowly walked towards the body of water in front of him.

The water was very clear, to the point where he could see the bottom.

Alex closed his eyes, then suddenly opened them wide.

He resisted the urge to rub his eyes; the scene under the water remained unchanged!

Under the lake's bottom were numerous gold and gemstones.

Was he not mistaken? Was that really gold?!

Alex quickly reached down to dig, but suddenly, a pain rushed in, causing him to retract his hand immediately.

At this point, his hand was covered in a black substance.

The black substance had a strangely foul odor, definitely not resembling anything good.

What's more interesting was that despite the black substance, his hands were less tired and more agile.

Alex couldn't help but widen his eyes.

Could it be that he had obtained the legendary holy water from the past, which could cleanse the bones and marrow, making him a perfect version of himself?

Alex thought that these things were only in novels; he never expected to have them one day.

At this point, Alex couldn't help but refrain from contemplating. Clearly, Julia and Steven didn't have access to this water.

It seemed that the space he and they obtained were quite different.

Why was Alex so certain?

Of course, it was because, for a long time, even as dungeons erupted, he didn't see any significant physical progress from Julia and Steven.

Could it be because they were not as close to the jade ring as he was, or was it because... Alex couldn't help but think of his reincarnation?

Everything was too magical, but one undeniable fact was that he had gained an advantage!

Without much thought, Alex quickly used his hand to scoop up a pile of gold and gemstones from the lake bottom.

With these, he could secure a new way of life with better training conditions.

In these two short months, he was sure to completely transform himself and be ready for the upcoming dungeon explosions!

After thoroughly examining everything in the space, Alex took two seemingly valuable necklaces and exited the space.

He washed up a bit and wanted to head to a nearby auction house.

He needed money as quickly as possible; in the evening, he planned to try immersing himself in the magical water.

With that in mind, Alex immediately grabbed his backpack and rushed out.

The auction house was in the city center, and this was perhaps the first time Alex felt fortunate because the auction house was about to hold an auction tomorrow evening.

It was reasonable for him to sell the two necklaces at this time.

Alex moved at an incredible speed, and the transaction was unusually quick.

He kept his face hidden throughout the process, revealing no clues.

At least, that's how he felt.

What surprised Alex was perhaps the value of those two necklaces.

The auction house owner quoted a price that he never expected!

Truly remarkable, with just these two necklaces, he could buy a suburban house and acquire the necessary equipment for training.

So, this was the world of the wealthy, wasn't it?

As he left the auction house, Alex still felt elated.

He didn't stay to wait for the auction to start and watch his items being bid on.

He couldn't wait to go home and try the difference in the magical water!
