Suddenly an extreme pain overwhelmed his whole body, it was as if every single part of his body was being destroyed and reconstructed, his body cells started to enhance and evolve further to be able to hold more purified divine power.

Generally, it would have been impossible to increase someone’s divine power quality, because your divine power quality will be fixed at the time when you first awaken and it can’t be increased anymore.

Except for the players of the game obviously. Only a player was able to increase his characters divine power quality or mana quality in case of a mage character. Normal NPC’s can’t do such a thing, except for the god of creation.

But there always exists exceptions everywhere. The history of this world has several records of people who had low quality of mana but they later achieved something called enlightenment making them break through this shackle and upgrade their mana quality. Enlightenment is a very rare incident though. It depends on sheer luck.

During the End of the game Mark had achieved the supreme enlightenment making him directly achieve godhood. Obviously, he only became a demigod and was still nothing in front of a true god like the god of creation which was later introduced in the game story.

But no player was able to do such a thing during the game service. Neo had planned to make this true after the successful launch of the modified version of the game but he was unsuccessful too. It’s ironic that even after playing the game for years Neo was not able to achieve this goal.

Although Neo was suffering from such a horrible pain all over his body but he didn’t even scream once and even his expression never changed. This is the effect of the personality and his talent, the unbound arrogance, his body would never scream and maintain calm so as to show arrogance and his unbending will.

Neo just stood still and continued for the pain to disappear, although his body was still perfectly calm, he was surprised in his mind.

‘Looks like even arrogance have some advantages too.’

Unconsciously, without Neo’s knowledge his will has also started to accept the arrogance, as its personality and even he has started to feel arrogance, slowly but surely. The personality trait which was originally a characteristic of the previous Neo, has started to integrate with him, without him knowing it.

After half an hour, the hellish pain finally disappeared and Neo heaved a sigh of relief in his mind. Afterall his body thinks of sighing as a bad characteristic and his arrogance stops his body from sighing, so he can only sigh in his mind.

Neo was not surprised from all these notifications. He knew that when a player upgrades the quality of divine power or mana his other skills that are too low will also increase except for the combat skills. This is the reason why his purification skill has increased.

Afterall the purer your divine power the more powerful your skill will work. You can consider quality as a very important factor in this world. Every skill will have stronger effect when used by someone with high quality of mana or divine power compared to someone with low quality mana.

As for the body to be strengthened, the reason behind this is the extreme pain experience by the body during the upgrade process which causes the body to be strengthened. That pain itself is equal to the effect of training for few years.

This is also the main reason why Neo chose to upgrade his divine power quality, he wanted to upgrade his stats. Since he is a talentless person, he will have to train for several years to increase his basic stats, but now this simple upgrade can fulfill that gap, by acting as a training for the body itself.

Afterall it is very rare for such a talentless person to appear in big families like the Milan family which is one of the Five great families of this world and have several Master rank swordsmen in their family. Not to mention, the current patriarch himself is a peak grandmaster. The current patriarch of the Milan family is Neo’s grandfather. But there’s still about 4 or five more grandmaster rank individuals in the Milan family according to Neo’s memories.

Thinking this far Neo just shook his head and cleared his mind

Now, Neo was in a dilemma, should he upgrade this skill or not. He had sufficient points to upgrade this skill for now but he reluctant to upgrade it. He didn’t want to use his points on something which he doesn’t even need.

Since Neo’s main combat art is Hand to Hand combat, he has to focus on that, if he used up his points on this skill, he may not be able to learn the skills that he needs for improvements, during his visit in the library. He has to save some points in order to have the combat skill, which he need. Unlike this skill, which will not be much of use to him for now.

He can upgrade it in the future when he will need it. For now, it is better to save the points.

After checking his body once again Neo looked towards the huge clock placed in his training room and found that it was already Night.

The atmosphere here was very lively, several adventurers from all over the world comes to this guild to visit the place for opportunities and high rank missions. The guild headquarters have several Master rank adventurers. The guild’s located are all controlled by this headquarter and makes a very huge network.

The capital city’s guild has a very huge building and thousands of adventurers come and go around here. Even during Night this place is always lively by the presence of adventurers submitting their mission materials or waiting for mission requests.

“Did you hear the rumor about the trash son of the Milan family?”

“What rumor? Wasn’t he already sent to church 6 years ago, I have not been hearing much about him lately?”

Rumors has always been topic for the people to talk about. Same was true for the rumors about Neo too. Not to mention as time passes these rumors also get more and more ridiculous and people still believes in them.

But during their talk the people did not noticed that two pair of eyes were constantly staring at them and were focusing on the information gathered from these seemingly ridiculous rumors. No matter how ridiculous the rumors are they always have some information hidden, which can help several forces in varying ways.

Like this duo, who was staring at the people talking to each other. The duo was wearing black clothes with their face covered in a mask. These two persons ignored other things and focused more on Neo’s current location. After that they looked at each other and nodded their head together as if they have come to a conclusion.

The two got up from their seat and disappeared in the crowd, leaving behind the people who seemed to still be talking about the rumors.
