Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Ethan stepped out of the car and was surprised to see that for the first time, the stares he received from his schoolmates weren't disgusted or demeaning, but instead were met with smiles and winks. He noticed that some of the girls even gave him flirtatious looks.

Let's give that a bit of a tweak:

This was a significant shift from his usual reception, and Ethan was perplexed as he made his way through the school hall and into the cafeteria

As he mulled over the events that had led him to this point, Ethan wondered,

'How did I go from being run over by a truck to becoming Ethan Wayne? And why do all of these people suddenly like me?

Ethan's thoughts were interrupted when he heard Lucas call out to him,

"Yo, Ethan!" Ethan's expression hardened at the sound of Lucas' voice. With a face that betrayed his loathing for Lucas, Ethan turned to face him as he approached.

Lucas put his hands on Ethan's shoulders and said, "You look down today, did something happen? Did someone piss you off? Tell me who it was and we'll take care of them."

Ethan was momentarily taken aback by Lucas' words, but then he realized that Lucas didn't recognize him as Ethan—he saw him as a member of the prestigious Wayne family.

A small laugh escaped Ethan's lips as he removed Lucas' hands from his shoulders and made his way to the cafeteria. He reveled in the idea that his newfound status had granted him an elevated position in the Social hierarchy

Ethan approached Mrs. Davington at the cafeteria counter with a warm, welcoming smile, which seemed to catch her off guard. After collecting his food, Ethan took his seat at a table and resumed his pondering. He couldn't shake the feeling that nobody truly knew him anymore—that he was a different person entirely.

The transformation from Ethan to a member of the Wayne family had upended his entire life, and he wasn't sure how to navigate the new social landscape he found himself in.

Ethan's mind was spinning with questions. 'What on earth is going on? How is it that nobody remembers me? I look exactly the same as I did before, but it's like my existence has been erased from their memories. Did someone erase their memories? And now I'm suddenly a member of the wealthiest family in America. What kind of crazy reality am I living in?'

As Ethan was deep in thought, Lucas approached his table with his entourage, including Madison by his side. Ethan braced himself for whatever was to come next.:

Lucas caught sight of Ethan sitting alone at a table in the cafeteria. He and his crew usually sat together at a different table, and Lucas found it odd that Ethan had chosen to sit by himself.

Approaching him, Lucas asked, “Hey man, what's going on? Why aren't you sitting with us today?.”

Ethan looked up at Lucas, his eyes burning with animosity. “I have nothing to do with you or your crew anymore. You'll all pay for what you did to me.”His words were laden with spite, the malice of his past experiences seeping through his words.

“Wh…what?”. Lucas stammered, confused.

Ethan left the cafeteria without looking back. As he walked down the hall, his eyes caught sight of Benjamin. Despite the hurt that Benjamin had caused him in his past life, Ethan felt a sense of familiarity and comfort with him. He stopped in front of him and said,

“Hey Benjamin, how's it going? Mind if I walk with you to class?” His tone was amiable, but he knew that he needed to tread carefully with his old friend.

After a long day of classes and tests, Ethan was eager to get home and unwind. As the final bell rang, he gathered his things and headed for the door. Outside, his driver was waiting for him, leaning against the sleek, black car that was a testament to the wealth and status of the Wayne family. Ethan approached the car, the driver opened the door, and Ethan slid inside.

The car pulled away from the school and Ethan settled into the plush leather seat, feeling the weight of the day start to lift from his shoulders. As they drove through the city, Ethan looked out the window at the hustle and bustle of the city streets. It was a world that he was still adjusting to, one that was vastly different from the life he had led before his accident death.

The driver spoke up from the front seat. Seeing the way Ethan looked “How was school today, Mr. Wayne?”

Ethan considered the question for a moment before responding.

“School was...eventful,” he said, choosing his words carefully. He didn't want to reveal too much t, but at the same time, he craved a friendly ear.

When Ethan arrived home, he retreated to his room, his mind swirling with thoughts of revenge. He vowed to himself that he would buy the school and strip the Davis of their wealth and power. He knew that it was an ambitious goal, but he was a Wayne now, and he had the resources to make it happen.

Ethan knew that he had to be patient. He would soon be graduating and beginning his work at the Wayne family company, and that's when he would start to put his plan into action.

He sat down at his desk and pulled out a notebook, jotting down his ideas and plans.Ethan's plan was simple, yet ambitious. He wanted to drive the Lucas family to poverty. He knew that their wealth and status were largely dependent on their ownership of the school, so he intended to leverage his new position at the Wayne family company to buy the school and strip the Lucases of their power. He scribbled furiously in his notebook, mapping out his strategy for achieving his plan.

Ethan's planning was suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door. A maid stood in the doorway, announcing,

“Mr. Wayne, your grandfather wishes to see you in the study.”
