Three days later.
Arryn was told a lot by Brian about Ravengarden City. Brian said that if Arryn had frequent encounters with crows flying in one direction, he was on the right way.
What appears is the same as Brian's explanation. Seen a city gate with walls surrounding the entire city. Above the gates and walls, hundreds of crows were seen perching.
At first glance, the city's appearance becomes terrifying because the crow is synonymous with death. However, that didn't stop people from coming to the city.
"Are we in the right place?" Arryn asked Ivy.
"It seems so. Raven means crow; maybe in it, we can see a thousand more crows," explained Ivy.
Arryn nodded as he walked down the main paved block road connected to the city. Not only Arryn, but he could see the other visitors walking together towards the city centre.
Two gatekeepers stood above the city gates, watching with focus one by one the people visiting the city. They have an essential role in preventing criminals from entering and disrupting the city, considering that lately, there has been a lot of chaos due to the demon invasion.
"It doesn't seem like there's anything to worry about," Arryn said.
They managed to enter without being suspected by the gatekeeper. Arryn kept walking until he came to a very different city from his first description.
He thought that Ravengarden would be a spooky city, full of black and things about death. However, what was displayed was clearly different from Arryn's thoughts.
Green gardens full of blooming flowers, street musicians are wearing colourful clothes, and the friendliness of the townspeople when welcoming newcomers. All of that is an integral part of Ravengarden.
"Why did they name it Ravengarden if this town is more beautiful than I imagined?" said Aryn.
Suddenly a man in a long white robe with simple clothes he was wearing arrived behind Arryn. He caught a glimpse of complaints that were more like praises to Ravengarden.
"Because our previous city leader really liked two different things, raven and gardens," said the mysterious man, making Arryn immediately turn around and see the man.
"Good morning, Sir," Arryn replied.
The mysterious man smiled while chuckling occasionally. He is not used to being called 'Sir' by others. According to him, the call is too fancy for a simple person like him.
"Don't call me 'Sir'. Just call me Leon." Leon said.
Arryn nodded his head. Not long after the brief introduction, Leon asked Arryn a basic question. One was the reason Arryn came here
"What made you come to Ravengarden?" Leon asked.
Leon invited Arryn to walk with him downtown. Arryn said he wanted to meet Sage Quentin. Leon nodded slowly when he heard Arryn's words.
"Sage Quentin is renowned as the wisest wizard in Ravengarden. You can meet him at the Obelisk Laboratory Tower," Leon said, pointing to the tallest building in the city.
Arryn looked at the place Leon pointed at and smiled. Finally, he was able to meet the man mentioned by his mother.
"Alright, I have to go. Enjoy this city," said Leon, saying goodbye as he stepped to the right at an intersection.
"He's a cheerful young man," Ivy said. She started to speak because Leon had left near Arryn.
"His life must be happy. Moreover, he lives in an amazing place like this," said Arryn.
"Most importantly, I already know where Sage Quentin is. We're going to the tallest building," Arryn explained, pointing at the Obelisk Laboratory Tower.
"I don't know, Arryn. I saw something different from that building, "Ivy explained.
Her words made Arryn confused. Ivy saw with both eyes that the building was surrounded by wavy blue magic.
Ivy's ability remains a mystery to Arryn. He didn't know for sure what kind of power she had.
"What's that?" Arryn asked, curious.
"Blue waves filled the entire building from bottom to top. I don't know if it's dangerous or not," Ivy replied.
"You're worrying too much, Ivy. We'd better go there to prove it," said Arryn.
He started to walk through the path in the middle of intersections. He took that because Arryn thought it was the quickest way to the Obelisk tower.
A neat arrangement of houses and a typical European style accompany Arryn's way. He and Ivy occasionally met people dressed in unique clothes, like a uniform.
The base colour is black, with white collar and cape motifs. At first glance, it looks like a school or academy uniform, with trousers and shoes.
What is unique is that they appear to be wearing different accessories, ranging from magic wands, oval necklaces, and five-finger rings to a grimoire.
"They really are like a mage," Arryn answered, amazed as the five young men walked past him. \
"Their levels are no longer common magicians. Judging by the items they use," Ivy replied. Arryn nodded in agreement.
Arryn walked long enough. He finally arrived in front of the building, immediately greeted with questions from the guards.
"What do you need here?" the guard asked, speaking firmly.
"I'm going to meet Sage Quentin. Is he in the tower now?" Arryn asked.
"What's your name? What class are you?" the guard asked.
Arryn continued introducing himself, but not with his class because he had not received it. He remembered how the soldiers of the Pantheon had arrested him because Arryn had conspired with the demon.
"Doesn't have a class. You're not allowed in," said the guard.
Arryn was silent getting that response. He certainly can't do trouble and chaos here; it's enough in Wintermere that he is mean to everyone.
He nodded as he turned his body and left the place while sitting on an empty chair in a small garden. Arryn continued staring at the entrance as he thought of a way to meet Quentin.
"What if you go into that tower and meet Sage Quentin? Say that I want to meet him at my mother's request, Selena," Arryn asked Ivy.
"Me?" Ivy asked, startled.
"Yes, only you can enter by using your invisible ability," said Arryn.
At first, Ivy was hesitant to do that, partly because of the blue waves she had just seen. Then, however, she couldn't bear to see Arryn sad because he couldn't meet Quentin.
Ivy finally agreed to Arryn's plan. She flew in without being noticed by anyone. Her invisible ability came in handy in moments like this.
Not only that ability, but through the years of living with Arryn, she could recognize the letters of the humans in this world. So that helped her this time; she could read the location of Sage Quentin's office, which turned out to be located on the seventh floor.
Ivy flew quickly, passing several people without knowing until she arrived at Sage Quentin's office door. Surprisingly, a woman appeared from inside the room.
The door opened, and Ivy took good advantage of it. She was now in Sage Quentin's office, a neat and clean room with no scattered papers or neglected documents.
"A type of Mana that was different from humans. Who are you? How dare you enter my room without permission!" Sage Quentin said firmly, turning his body and looking at Ivy, who was in invisible mode.
"How did you see me?" Ivy asked, surprised.
"I am Sage Quentin. My magical ability is far beyond what you can imagine. Seeing in Mana mode is easy for me," Sage Quentin explained.
The man walked up to Ivy without planning to kill her. Ivy still maintained her ability, hiding her true form in front of Sage Quentin.
[Summoning System: Magic Purifying]
Sage Quentin immediately cast special magic to neutralize all the magic in his room. Unfortunately, Ivy was affected, causing her to appear before Sage Quentin.
Ivy, who was surprised, immediately asked about the magic Quentin had just cast. Sage Quentin explained the type of magic he had recently activated.
"All magic that has been or will be activated in this room is purified or neutralized. No one can cast any kind of magic," Sage Quentin replied.
"You really are annoying," Ivy said, irritated.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Quentin asked.
"I'm Ivy. I'm Arryn Vaughan's pet. I came here because Arryn wanted to meet you," Ivy explained.
"Arryn Vaughan?" Quentin asked, surprised with wide eyes.
"Correct. He came here on a request from Selena, his mother." Ivy kept flying while talking to Quentin. Talking to a talking animal wasn't a first for Quentin, but Ivy was the first to speak in his office.
"Selena? Is she from Wintermere?" asked Quentin, feeling very excited.
"Yeah. How do you know that?" Ivy asked, curious.
Sage Quentin smiled with his round eyes wide open. He didn't expect that Arryn would come here on Selena's orders. He decided to meet the young man immediately.
"Where is he?" Quentin asked.
"He's downstairs, waiting in the small park near the Obelisk tower."
Quentin walked over to Ivy, holding her in the head. The shocked Ivy tried to dodge, but she couldn't.
"Don't let go of me!" Quentin said firmly.
Surprisingly, Sage Quentin and Ivy teleported towards the Obelisk tower's front door in a single blink. The incredible speed causes Ivy to fall limp and be caught by Sage Quentin.
"Master Sage," the guard greeted.
Sage Quentin stepped out and stopped when he saw the figure of a young man sitting on a park bench, waiting for Ivy's arrival along with Sage Quentin.
"Arryn," Quentin called.
Arryn turned around and saw the figure of a grown man calling out to him. He immediately stood up and walked over to him. Arryn was surprised to find Ivy lying in Sage Quentin's arms, pretty weak.
"Ivy? Are you all right?" Arryn asked, taken aback.
"I'm fine. I just need a rest," Ivy explained.
"I waited for you so long for this day to come," said Sage Quentin, surprising Arryn.
"Wait for me? Who are you really?" Arryn asked.
Sage Quentin smiled as his right hand extended forward, caressing Arryn's head with a happy heart.
"I am Sage Quentin, as well as your Father, Arryn."
"My Father? Don't joke. My father died when I was born," explained Arryn.Quentin smiled. He remembered with certainty the thrilling events when Arryn was born. At that time, the Three Great Gods of Athanor arrived with a roar and storm; they planned to meet Quentin and tell the man about his son's power. He's just an ordinary farmer; daily, he struggles with fields and hoes. The arrival of the Three Great Gods of Athanor frightened Quentin, with his face turning white as death.Elyseus –Athanor's God of Beginnings– says that Quentin must leave Wintermere and study witchcraft. He had to become strong as a Sage to guide Arryn in using his powers. That was why Quentin had kept his whereabouts from Arryn for seventeen years. He only tells Selena the exact location using the crow's message.Quentin left a message that if Arryn reached seventeen, Selena had to tell Arryn about his location. Now, Arryn was really ahead of him at the age of adulthood."We should talk in my office," Quentin a
"Ancient Egyptians? Where's that?" Quentin asked. The Kingdom of Ancient Egypt is a foreign name for Quentin; he never knew other kingdoms. Arryn was confused about what to explain to him, but what was certain was that the two of them were already in different worlds."Somewhere. It isn't easy to explain. But, what is clear is that we are in a different world from Athanor," Arryn replied."If we look at what we're experiencing right now, your power is likely something like dimensional magic," Quentin replied, folding his arms as he watched the workers under the pyramid-shaped building."Dimensional magic?" Arryn asked. He had just heard the magic name, so it was natural for him to feel confused about the meaning of the magic name."A special and rare magic, it is said that it is also difficult to control. That magic can penetrate the boundaries of space to create portals between places," explained Quentin.Quentin suddenly crouched down, holding the sand in his right hand while carefu
***The next day.[Summoning System: Information Status][Welcome][Name: Arryn Vaughan][Level: 28][Title: Unknown][Job Class: Apperentice][Age: 17][HP: 660/660][MP: 710/710]"I've really become a magic user, Ivy," explained Arryn, so happy to see the job class change in his status information."You're lucky to get your class, Arryn. Now you no longer need to deal with the Pantheon about job classes," Ivy replied.Quentin explained in detail what a magic user was, level, then the highest achievement, to the things that had to be prepared to level up.Quentin's level was already at the Noble Tier, the highest class level. It took him about seventeen years to become the sage he is now. Of course, with one goal, to save Arryn by guiding his strength."Master Quentin said something about an apprentice's advanced class," Arryn replied, trying to remember what Quentin had said ye
Some apprentices went straight to the library in groups, some with friends, and some alone. Arryn was still in the practice hall, standing with his group mates."When shall we go to the library?" Aurora asked, worried.Aurora certainly doesn't want to lose quickly to other groups, even though the results of the arcana compilation are individual work. Lucas fell silent, pondering whether it would be appropriate to look for the book now, considering that some apprentices may take more than one book to corroborate a theory."I think we should immediately go to the library to find references," Lucas replied."Then let's go," said Lorelei. She was the most excited when she saw the apprentices leaving this place.Arryn nodded, walking after them all out of the practice room. Ivy flew from the metal railing in front of the audience seats onto Arryn's shoulder.Ivy's sudden arrival surprised Arryn's three group mates. They were wondering about Arryn
"Then what about my friends who don't know about this?" asked Arryn. He was shocked and worried about the condition of his three group mates. “In each reference book, the risks are explained if you choose the wrong Arcana. If they're careful, they'll be able to do it right,” replied Quentin, walking up to Arryn while carrying a book about Arcana. Quentin opened the book and showed the arcana items in each type. Before he could start crafting it for Arryn, Quentin needed to explain this important matter to him. “Though I will guide you, you should know five items in the attack type arcana, starting from Spirity, Examiner, Bloodline, Yoaxin, and Cleave. Each item has a different status increase,” replied Quentin, pointing to the five red round items with a different symbol in the center of the circle. Not only the attack type arcana, but Quentin also explained the heal and support type Arcana. He needed to explain the three because, according to Quentin, Arcana's healing and support
*** The next day. "How are you feeling after the arcana arrangement yesterday?" asked Ivy, perched on a wooden chair with both eyes on Arryn. Arryn was still lying on his bed because he had nothing else to do. Lucas, Aurora, and Lorelei were still busy with their unfinished Arcana. Among the fifteen apprentices, Arryn was the only one who had finished crafting the Arcana. "Quentin said that the stage of adjusting Arcana to my body ended at midnight. I don't feel any different," Arryn replied, raising his right hand before his face. "It seems like your Arcana has integrated with your body well," Ivy said. Arryn nodded as he closed his eyes. "Then, do you have anything to do today?" Ivy asked again. Arryn was silent. The next lesson in Riviela's class would take place next week, so Arryn had plenty of time from today until next week. The books Arryn had read in Quentin's office weren't helping. No single text could explain dimensional magic's origin nor how to control it. Arryn
They immediately took their seats in a room commonly used for discussions. Aurora took the seat adjacent to Lorelei while Lucas took his seat at the side of the table. Lorelei began to open her reference book as she pointed out the arcana items written in it. Aurora and Lucas watched with moving eyes. Aurora nodded her head several times. She already knew the items of each type of Arcana, but Aurora chose to remain silent to avoid acting arrogant in front of her friends. "Before you choose the items to be attached, you must understand what the Arcana is," said Arryn, sitting on the opposite side of Lucas. "I already understand what Arcana is. Can we continue to discuss these items?" asked Lorelei. Arryn looked at Lucas and Aurora, and they nodded in agreement with Lorelei's proposal. The three of them had learned what Arcana was and its functions yesterday. Not only that, Aurora had even made some plans for the items she would use. "You'd better show us your Arcana and explain wh
Arryn invited Aurora, standing next to him, to enter the portal. At first, she was afraid and anxious, but after Arryn convinced her, she decided to enter the portal of light. Aurora was surprised when her feet felt like she was stepping on something warm and soft. The girl kept walking out of curiosity until she stopped in front of a shady coconut tree. Arryn followed Aurora from behind as he looked right and left. He and Aurora were now on a seemingly deserted island. White sand, blue waves, and shady trees welcomed the sea wind. Now, Arryn again didn't know which world he was in. "So, your original magic power is time and space travel?" asked Aurora, her eyes rounding as if impressed by Arryn's magic. "Something like that," replied Arryn, walking to Aurora, playing near the seashore. "Wow, that's awesome magic!" praised Aurora. Arryn smiled as he joined the girl in the water. The two of them enjoyed the moment together until the sun began to fall into the evening. Aurora sat
