Keith walked back to the Hotel Lobby, he was trying to act like nothing was going on when he knew everything was going wrong but he chose to act that way since he had taken care of the threat.
‘I honestly thought they would put up a fight, but they were all flukes and they called themselves guards. Pathetic,’ Keith was a bit disappointed, he had expected to fight people with extraordinary strength. But he didn't get anything like that, he only got to beat around some rather weak men.
Keith got to the Hotel Lobby, he didn't catch any sign of his guards he decided to wait for them. “They probably went to look for me, I will just wait here.”
Keith made himself comfortable by sitting down and waiting for his guards to come back. It was like everyone was muttering the moment he took a seat in the lobby.
‘I know I am not dressing properly but must they make it look like a big deal?’ Keith tried to shrug off the fact the people there were looking at him like he had committed some kind of crime.
Keith was trying to distract himself when he put his hands into his pocket and took out a locket. He looked at it and smiled.
It was the same locket that Eleanor’s father had given him when he was about to get married to Eleanor. “This brings back a lot of memories, good and bad alike.”
Keith was lost in his good memories, he wasn't paying attention to the people that were walking in the lobby. Keith was already a bit infuriated that he had to wait there for his guards to come back.
He tried not to show that he was not happy. It was like he was waiting in line to get something that he knew was his already. “This line feels like a mistake, where did they go? Where is Marx by the way?”
Keith kept looking around, he had a feeling that something was going to go wrong but he tried to make sure that nothing was going to make him lose his cool like that. ‘I know this is a weird feeling, I don't know why I think there is something wrong going to happen but then I don't care.’
Keith sat back and waited for his men to come back from wherever they went, he kept looking at the locket trying to imagine a world where Eleanor didn't betray him like that and where they were still together. But he was having a hard time even thinking of it.
He gave all his life to making sure she was happy, waiting with her hands and feet. He didn't care if he was ridiculed by her entire family. Keith kept loving her, making sure that he didn't even act like it was a problem for him.
Even when Keith had recovered his memories from the ghastly accident that had almost claimed his life he still chose to make sure that Eleanor was happy no matter what.
Keith didn't care if there was something he had to do to show how much he loved her he would have done it and still not complained. ‘After all that, I get tossed aside like a pile of dirt.’ Keith took a deep breath and then sat back comfortably.
“What in the world are you doing here?” A voice came from the entrance of the hotel lobby, Keith turned to see Jared and Eleanor entering the hotel. It seemed as if they had come to spend the night there.
“Oh God, this ought to be fun,” Keith muttered as he tried not to pay any attention to the two that walked in but it was as if he was going to fail in avoiding them.
“Who let this piece of trash step in here? This hotel is not fit for someone of his status! He is a pile of garbage compared to all of us here. So I want to know who let you in here!” Jared was standing in front of Keith, it was as if he was trying to make him look Keith look smaller than him so he could intimidate him.
“You dare lay a finger on me? Hire actors to hit me and then you think I will let you sit here without paying for what you have done? You are wrong, I am Jared Henshaw and I will see to it that after you have been thrown out of here like the piece of trash you are. You will also be put down for touching me.”
“All this coming from an oversized daddy’s boy, what am I meant to be terrified of?” Keith asked sarcastically, he was looking at Jared knowing that there was nothing Jared could do to him.
“You’re talking back to me? I know you must be crazy. Don't worry I will make sure that you pay for everything you have said or done.” Jared was looking around as if he was looking for someone.
“You will be sorry Keith Norman,” Jared said as he walked out, it was like he was going to bring someone to help him out.
“What a crybaby,” Keith said as he noticed that Eleanor was still there, ‘Why didn't she follow him?’
Keith looked at Eleanor who didn't utter a word, she was looking at him directly. “Why don't you act like a normal man and apologize to him? I can help you out, if I talk to him then he might not do anything to you.”
Eleanor was trying to get Keith to apologize to Jared, she was trying to help Keith out of pity for him.
“Why in the world would you do that for me?” Keith looked at her, he wanted to know what it was that would make her try to help him.
“Don't get anything in that head of yours, I am only doing it out of pity and because of my relationship with you so act like a normal man and apologize to him.” Eleanor was looking at Keith with pity written all over her face, it was like she wanted him to beg Jared for forgiveness.
“The last thing I will do is go to an overgrown man-child and beg him to forgive me, he can go hang himself if he wants to. But I am not begging him for anything,” Keith then averted his gaze from Eleanor, he was trying to make sure that he didn't say too much.
Eleanor was stunned to see that what she had been with for three years was a different person, it was like Keith was showing her a version of himself that he had hidden from the world. “I wonder what is going on in that sick brain of yours but I hope you come to realize that you need help.”
Eleanor then stopped talking and turned to wait for Jared, Keith didn't utter another word. He looked around to see if he would spot his men but there was still no sign of them. ‘Now where in the world did they go off to?’
“There he is, that is the scumbag I was telling you about. He is nothing but trash. I wonder why he was allowed to be here. I want you to make sure he is treated the way scum should be treated.”
Keith looked up to see Jared beside him was a man dressed in a cotton suit, he looked at Keith with disgust in his eyes. “Please sir before things get out of hand I would suggest you leave the premises.”
Keith simply looked at the man, he didn't even have the words to say anything but just sighed. “I am not going anywhere, not even if you bring ten douchebags I am not moving.”
Keith was looking at the man Jared had brought to him, he observed every single detail about the man trying to know who he was and why it was him that Jared decided to call. “Sir, I told you to leave the premises before I decide to call security to remove you from the hotel.” The man was looking at Keith who didn't even want to care about what the man in front of him was saying. “Don't you hear him? He is the new general manager of this hotel and the one that will decide who will stay here or not.” Jared was looking at Keith waiting for him to do something like beg him or the man for forgiveness. But Keith was unfazed, he simply looked at the man like any other person and didn't say a thing. He just made himself a bit more comfortable than before. “I am not going anywhere and if any of you have a problem with that then I will suggest you take it elsewhere.” Keith was trying his best not to be bothered by anyone, it was as if he was even trying to avoid anything that would make him
“Mr. Jacquline, what are you doing here? I was not expecting to see you here.” The manager sounded like he was scared when he saw the man standing by the door. The man standing by the door was the owner of the Phoenix Spring Hotel and the city’s third richest man. He was not the best of people to hang around but it was known that he hardly came by his Hotel.“I know you might think that there is a problem here but I will assure you that everything is being taken care of and you will no need to worry about anything.” The manager was looking at Mr. Jacquline as he was looking at the way the guards were holding Keith like he was some kind of criminal.“Mr. Jacquline, your manager is one of a kind. There is no other person on this planet earth that would be able to handle such a problem without messing up and it would have the end of this establishment.”Jared butted in, he was trying to make the manager sound like a good guy to the hotel owner, he was only doing it to make sure that he w
“What in the world are you doing? Who do you think you are?!” Jared was filled with rage, he was not even trying to understand what was going on. The only thing on his mind was how he was going to make sure that he made Keith pay for trying to embarrassing him. “You think there is something you can do? You don't even know who I am! I will make sure that you will die of hunger when I am done with you.” Jared began walking to Keith, he was going to make sure that he got his message to him. Keith looked back at Jared, he didn't know what he was planning to do but he was not about to stand there and watch them do something. “You know that there is no way for you to get anything out of whatever it is you are doing but I will tell you one thing. You have overstayed your welcome here and you don't want to make me angry.” Keith was not smiling anymore, he was looking at Jared trying to make sure he made go up to his hotel room and not take it too far. “What do you think you are? I am on
There was silence in the room, Keith was pissed off and it was not looking like he was going to listen to anyone. “Sir? What do you mean?” the man kept shivering; he had heard Keith but he was not sure that there was going to be a chance for him to even talk to Keith again. “Are you deaf? I told you to get yourself out of here and make sure that you don't show your face around here again.” Keith was stern when he said those words, the ex-manager knew better than to make Keith angry than he was already. He stepped back and began to walk away, there was nothing he could do or say to even make him consider giving him his work back. “This is beyond an embarrassment; he has lost his job and there is no way he will even get it back even if he were to beg for it like that. I know that there is no way for him to get another job in this city.” “He has made himself a fool, I don't blame him too. There is no way I would have known that the lad over there played an important part in this ho
Keith and Jacqueline were walking together to the office. Keith was trying to hide the fact that he was filled with rage at the moment and it was not going to be nice if he was to explode. “I am sorry sir; I didn't know you would arrive here this early.” Jacqueline was still apologizing to Keith; he was not about to make sure that nothing would make Keith angry. “I am not mad at you Jacquline; I know you didn't know that I would be here at any time now so there is no way you would have thought that there would be a fight and it would cost you an employee.” Keith was a bit serious; he was not sure that there was any explanation for what he had faced earlier. “Marx was meant to be here; I don't know why he is not here and why he is absent.” Keith was still angry that he didn't meet his guards there nor did he see his closest ally, Marx. “Sir Marx would have been here but there were some unforeseen circumstances he needed to make sure that there would be nothing that would irritate
“I have checked everyone but the rat still keeps himself hidden, I don't know how he was able to keep himself hidden from us for long.” Marx sat down, he knew that there was no way he would be able to get things if he didn't find a way to get the culprit. “Strange, then it means that the person is amongst our ranks and he has been hiding from us. But how is possible that they would cause an accident that almost killed you three years ago.” Jacquline was not even clear on wh would think of trying to kill Keith. “Clearly whoever did it wanted to remove our master from his throne and they were trying to kill him to make sure their plan didnt fail.” Marx was looking at the table trying to make sense of the entire thing but it was still not clear to him how it happened under their watch. Keith dropped his glass on the table, he looked at the two men and he had something to say but he di not know how he was going to say it without causing a bit of confusion for them. “I know this is goi
Elenaor got home to her parents house that night, Jared was too angry to even think of walking in with her. “Are you not coming in? At least to have a drink or two,” she was looking at Jared but it was like he didn't even want to talk to her. “I didn't tell you I was thristy? I want to get back home to my father and I want to do it as soon as possible so please if you don't mind I need you to get down.” Jared was still angry with everything that happened to him, he was not even trying to hide it from Eleanor. Eleanor didn't say another word but she got down from the car and began entering the Kendrick Mansion, everyone there was surprised to see her. “You were meant to be there till morning or even three days like the both of you always do. So why are you back so early?” Sandra looked at Eleanor as she tried to take a seat, Elenaor didn't reply, rather she was still trying to understand what it was she saw unravelling at the Hotel. “El? Is anything wrong or did someone make you f
Keith was trying to make sure that he didn't stay long inside the room and he was sure that spending a whole day inside a locked room would make him look terrible. “I hate doing this but I have to go around the city to see if I will find anything that would make me even think of anything else.” Keith got up and walked over to the wardrobe that Jacqueline prepared for him. He opened it and spotted a plain black shirt with a pair of trousers, they were all in the highest class of things and he knew that there was no way Jacqueline would want him to wear anything below class. ‘That's right, I left all my clothes back at Eleanor's house and there is no way I am going back there to take them. I might as well jump into the ocean and let the fishes eat me.’ Keith picked a cloth out of the varieties of clothes in the wardrobe, he didn't know what else he would do but he was going to be roaming around the city till he found something that would make him forget that he had his divorce to th
