Chapter 2

Roland's eyes widened perfectly. He became even angrier as Aiden broke another plate. "Are you out of your mind? You haven't replaced one plate, and you broke another. How are you going to work like this, the restaurant will lose a lot of money?!"

"Gosh, none of his work is right. What a slob!" The servants heated up Roland. They were intentionally making Roland even angrier at Aiden.

The ponytailed waitress grinned, with a loud tone of voice confirming what her colleague had just said. "Yes, he is indeed careless. I don't know what kind of harm he'll do. This restaurant might go bankrupt because of him!"

Aiden just stood still on the spot. Meanwhile, the sound also caught Lola and Brian's attention. Lola widened her eyes when she met Aiden's gaze. Suddenly making Lola panic, she was surprised to see her lover standing there but tried to look calm.

Lola released her grip on Brian's hand. Her heart was beating so fast that it seemed to stop for a few seconds. Her eyes trembled along with the sweat that flowed from the pores of her face.

"Oh my, this is bad." Lola was stunned. She should not be in a situation like this because she had been deceiving Aiden all along.

Lola only wanted to use Aiden, but now she was caught cheating on him. Brian frowned when Lola let go of their handshake.

Seeing Aiden silently staring straight ahead, Roland also looked in the direction Aiden was looking. Roland saw the two guests, instantly making him hold back his anger at Aiden.

"Get out of the way!" Roland wore while passing by Aiden. He even nudged Aiden's shoulder quite hard on purpose.

Roland approached them while bowing his head respectfully to Lola and Brian. "We apologize for the carelessness of our employee who broke the plate."

Brian looked visibly upset there. Lola stepped back a few steps as if to hide behind Brian's body.

Aiden could no longer contain his feelings. On the verge of shock, he pulled Lola's wrist to go out of the fancy restaurant. "Follow me!"

But Lola clamped her hands firmly, especially since Brian also blocked her body, preventing her from getting close to Lola. "What the hell are you doing? How dare you pull her hand!"

Aiden stared intently at his lover's face. "How did you end up here with that guy?"

Lola, who was initially panicking and feeling uneasy, saw Brian and everyone watching her, making her angry at Aiden. "So what, am I not allowed to come to this restaurant? Who are you to tell me no?"

Aiden shook his head, not meaning to stop Lola from coming to this restaurant. He was just surprised that Lola had come with another man. "I didn't mean it that way, but why did you come with him? You are, after all, my lover."

Lola snorted in annoyance hearing Aiden say that. She didn't want her taste to look bad in front of the crowd. "That was then. Now, I'm not your lover. You're a poor man. Can't take me out to eat at this expensive restaurant. What a loser!"

Aiden was surprised to hear Lola say that to him, even though all this time he knew his girlfriend was always sweet. But now Lola insulted him, leaving him speechless.

Brian laughed, looking at Aiden from head to toe, then he pushed Aiden's shoulder hard enough for Aiden to take a few steps back. "So, is Aiden that guy you told me about who gave up everything for you? What does he have? He must be poor and have nothing."

Lola nodded her head, agreeing. "Yes, he's the one." She gave Aiden a sharp look. "No matter how hard you try to give me everything, I've never lived a good and luxurious life. I've been living like a beggar."

Lola folded her arms over her chest as she imagined the difficult times with Aiden. "I was always starving whenever I went out with you. You never took me to a restaurant, and you couldn't even afford to treat me to a meal at a small street stall. You could only afford to buy me bread and ice cream that didn't cost much."

Lola's jaw hardened, with a fierce look. Remembering those days made her feel hatred for Aiden. She wanted to buy fancy things like her friends. She wanted to be stylish like other young people.

"I'm already like a bum who has nothing to show off to my friends when they show off their girlfriends buying nice clothes. Let alone nice clothes, I once asked you to buy me a scarf in the winter and you couldn't afford it." Lola's voice was so loud that everyone could clearly hear her.

Aiden was furious to hear Lola complain about being with him all this time because he had given everything he had to Lola, but Lola said it like that.

"So, you were never happy when you were with me, even though I gave you everything I had?" Aiden asked Lola to make sure. He was still wondering if Lola was just acting in front of Brian.

Lola chuckled in annoyance. Even though she had told Aiden all her complaints, he still asked. "So what? Even if you give me everything, we can't have dinner at a fancy restaurant. But you know when I'm with Brian, I can easily afford everything I want."

Lola felt proud to have met Brian, as if he had become her savior god. They met when Lola enrolled in the same college as Brian and Aiden. They accidentally bumped into each other, got to know each other and talked until now they are in a relationship.

Lola knew from the beginning that Brian was rich, but at first she didn't care. But as time went by, it turned out that Brian liked her and tried to get close to her. This seemed to be an opportunity for Lola because she could live in luxury if she was with Brian. That's why she accepted Brian's love and dared to have a relationship behind Aiden's back.

Some of the customers who were eating there were annoyed. One of the heavyset men got up from his chair and looked angrily at them. "Hey, if you want to fight, fight outside. Don't make a scene here!"

"Yeah, just get out of here. You're ruining our appetite!" shouted another customer. He was sick of hearing their ramblings.

Brian raised his face defiantly, annoyed at the customers. "Who are you to tell me what to do? Stay out of our business!"

The portly male customer didn't take Brian's words well. He scrunched up his waist, then pointed his index finger upwards. "Insolent! Is this how you treat your elders? You uneducated young man!"

Brian felt insulted by the man's words. His eyes bulged like they were about to pop out of their sockets. "You uneducated old man! If you're bothered by us, just get out of here!"

Some of the customers who heard Brian's words lost their appetite. They got up from their seats simultaneously. "Never mind, we'd better get out of here. What kind of restaurant would let someone like that make a scene here."

Brian waved both hands in the air with satisfaction. "Yeah, just get the hell out of here. You suck!"
