Chapter 7. Meeting his ex again

The bartender's mouth went wide like it just got hit by a frog!

" 100 bottles?!" He screamed in his mind and quickly rushed forward to meet Liam again.

In this way, he pushed Sarah, the timid bar assistant, away and faced Liam with a polite look.

Sarah, who was moved aside swiftly, ended up pulling her brows together as a small squirm escaped from her mouth, out of shock.

" Mr. Graceful, I am back. I don't have any other things to do again, so I will serve you now. You want 100 bottles right? For that, you will get an extra free drink." He unhurriedly said, respectfully attending to Liam, who narrowed his eyes with a displeased look.

" That's how we treat our good customers. And you know what? The 100 bottles aren't available at once now, but I will made a quick order now, and it shall be delivered before you know it." The bartender added to his words, without minding Liam's displeased look.

What he was inwardly calculating was the bonus and profit he was going to get from what Liam wanted to buy.

" You change your mind?" Liam scoffed and looked sideways towards Sarah. " Why do you suddenly want to serve me? Didn't you just disregarded me?"

Immediately, the bartender shook his head negatively, as he made a flattering face, replying, " No, no, you totally misunderstand me. I know you are a wealthy person, but you are just maintaining a low profile. It's pretty obvious. So how can I disregard you?"

Before Liam could respond to the bartender, a sneer came from his behind, and he turned his back.

There......

Beverly and her new lover, Max, were standing with grace oozing out from their body, with a presumptuous and arrogant look plastering strongly on their faces.

Instantly, Liam's face fell, and it was replaced with an annoyed and disgusted expression.

Seeing his ex again with her so called new lover, brought him nothing, but memories that made his heart to bleed and hurt again. It even almost made his soul energy to fade away. Indeed, love isn't something that could be easily forgotten.

The bartender also looked up and saw the two arrogant couple, but he had no idea who they were.

" Well, well, look who is here?" Beverly walked away from Max's side, crossing her arms over her chest with twisted lips, as she approached Liam.

" Liam Storm, I don't know you still have the gut to show your poverty sicken face and filthy self here? Bravo! You are indeed bold and shameless!"

Liam balled his fists but turned away from her. He couldn't face her but could only silently suppressed the fierce anger in him. He had totally forgotten Beverly was also part of the graduating student in the college.

If he had recalled, he thought he wouldn't have come here.

" Darling, don't be surprised. People like him don't have any sense of thinking and value, not to talk of having any shame! Don't waste your beautiful time on miserable worthless piece of no good thing like this trash!" Max buttressed Beverly's point, adding more fuel to the already burning flames. Then, he went ahead and circled his arms around Beverly's waist, nestling his chin on her collarbone.

" You know he doesn't even worth to see you or hear your voice. People swimming in extra poverty like him don't deserve to step here or see a beauty like you." He whispered huskily, with a smirk, but it was audible enough to everyone present.

Hearing all these, the bartender wore a conflicted look, his eyes glancing back and forth between Liam and the arrogant couple. He didn't know what to do.

Liam didn't say anything or reacted. He only shot them a fierce look, that was enough to showcase the amount of rage swirling in him.

Finally, the bartender gazed at Beverly and Max's dress, which immediately made him to have a second thought. His expression changed instantly, cause he realized Beverly and Max were putting on expensive outfits, that could be traced to one of the most renowned designers in the city.

Then, he faced Liam and called his attention.

" You........I should have known you were faking it! You are nothing but a good for nothing nasty bloody liar! Oh, you think you can just come to this expensive bar and act the way you like?! Hell no! Just look at you, if you are really rich, you won't be putting on simple mediocre cloth like this! I can even see that your shirt has faded and almost close to tearing! You look nothing less than a fucking rotten wretched farmer!" He hissed, snapping angrily at Liam. He scolded him severely, without stopping to have a taste of his own words and cared less about Liam's feelings.

This time, the bartender ignored Liam, who was now drowning in humiliation, more of shame and humbling. He was now reduced to a state of abasement, as if he didn't really worth anything, have a life of his own or signifies any importance.

This time, the bartender faced Beverly and her lover, with a more sincere flattering look, and he smiled in a polished manner, enough to convince them.

" I never know he is such a person like that. Trying to form he is capable of buying this and that." He warbled. " I am so sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you don't mind. Let me serve you."

Beverly glanced at Max and smiled sweetly.

" I am so glad I didn't choose him over you or if not, I guess I will be ridiculed just like him." She laughed slightly and rubbed Max's hands against hers with a loving face.

Liam couldn't take this view and statement. He had enough, coupled with the humiliation from the bartender, and all, he felt really angered and disgusted!

His face flushed, his eyes turning red rimmed. Tears were the only thing he couldn't shed.

In order to avoid more humiliation, he decided to take his leave from the counter silently, dragging his so believed wretched self......

But as he slowly walked away, he could still hear the bartender making fun of him and telling Beverly and Max about his attempt to buy 100 bottles of the most expensive drink in the bar..

Beverly and Max as usual, laughed hysterically, feeling so amused, and they couldn't help but admit Liam was a dimwit!

" That's the biggest joke I have ever heard!"
