Chapter 38: Meeting an unexpected person at the pool

"Yes. I am Harlan. What are you doing here? I mean... Are you the pool attendant?" Harlan asked in surprise.

"You are too stupid to use your brain. You just open your stinking mouth and say any nonsense that comes to it. 'Are you the pool attendant?' Nonsense!" Tracy spat.

He was dumbstruck when he saw Harlan because he had never imagined that Harlan could be somewhere as expensive as this. Harlan, Tracy thought, would either be here because he is employed here as one lowly paid worker or he could be here because he had come to beg. He concluded on the latter.
