Chapter 20

Luna was tired of it. Time after time, she felt like her own life was not in her hands but controlled by one person or the other.

First, it was the people who massacred her family and forced her and her cousin Arthur to flee, then it was her adoptive mother, Clara Byrne, then the Gallagher's and now this.

She had decided to herself ever since Arthur's return that she would take back control of her life and she saw this as the first step.

Turning to Elizabeth, she pleaded, “I promise you I'm telling you the truth, aunt. I never came near the workers carrying the vase. I don't know what crime I have committed against the Burton family that I am being framed like this.”

“How bold of you to utter such rubbish? Did I not make my judgement not on the testimonies of anyone present but on the footage presented before everyone here?” Ethan stated coldly, walking towards her and remaining unfazed as she took a few steps back.
