005: Who Are You?

"Have you suddenly gone dumb? I asked you a question and I expect an answer from you!" Chris inquired, following how silent Benjamin has been.

"You expect me to tell you whether these items are fake or real?" Benjamin finally spoke out, trying to cover his true feelings "Well, I won't be providing any response to you unless you pay the total of $2.4 billion which you destroyed here today!"

"I'll be the most foolish man on planet Earth if I pay you that amount!" Chris backfired, his tone rude and harsh.

No longer willing to take this, Karen walked to Chris and gave him an excruciating slap "How dare you break the valuables which Benjamin bought for me!"

"You dared to destroy them when you can't even afford the least expensive among them!" She added, her voice echoing angrily. Chris could have easily retaliated but controlled his temper just because of Ava.

"I won't be taking things likely with you, Chris! You have to go on your knees and apologize to Mr Burton, else..."

"I'm sorry to disrespect but not in my seventeenth generation shall I Kneel for this fake Billionaire" Chris cut Karen off, increasing her anger.

As he stared at Karen, Benjamin clenched his fists. It was so sad to see the person who used to obey him now challenging him. Benjamin was way richer than Chris five years ago and Chris accorded him simple respect but now, the same Chris is challenging him.

"I will let this slide today, Chris, if only you will provide items worth over my valuables!" He spoke up in quite a smooth tone but Chris spoke up immediately "What price are you referring to? Do you mean the real price of $10 million or the fake price of $2.4 billion?"

"You can go ahead and beat the fake price. I swear on my income that you can never present gifts worth over $500!" Benjamin said, a sleek of mockery found on his face.

"And what if I present her with gifts worth over $500?" Chris asked, his face damn serious.

"If you manage to present her with gifts worth over $500, I will let go of my ego and kneel before you!" Benjamin assured.

Immediately after his assurance, Chris snapped his fingers and Miss Poison walked in with five dragon members all in black attire, each of them holding trays covered with luxurious cotton.

As Miss Poison walked forward, she said "A diamond necklace worth $3 billion!" "Ten golden wrist watches worth $10 billion!"

"Rome's 500 year old Statue is worth $70 billion!" "An elixir of life worth $40 billion....and a key to an emerald villa worth $470 billion!"

The dragon members placed the trays before Karen Nile and Miss Poison concluded "Total gifts delivered to Mrs Karen Nile is $500 billion! All delivered by the order of the Dragon Lord!"

The entire guests yelped as they looked at Chris whose hands were fixed in his pocket!

"How on earth was this even possible?" Benjamin asked himself, his eyes narrowing around Miss Poison and Chris respectively.

"I hope you're satisfied now, Aunt Karen..." Chris said, walking to Benjamin "This is one of the reasons you shouldn't dare to mess with the Dragon Lord!"

"Mrs Nile, please take this token from the dragon Lord. We'll be on our way now!" Miss Poison said, attempting to walk away when Karen walked to her.

"Thank you so much for this. I'm..."

"It's okay, Mrs Nile! No member of the Dragons wastes time when they are sent an errand" Miss Poison cut Karen off and walked out immediately!

As Miss Poison walked away, Ava couldn't help but ask herself "Did Miss Poison deliver these products on Chris's behalf? How did Chris manage to gather enough connections like this? Something fishy is going on!"

"Go on, Benjamin Burton. Keep your word!" Chris's voice jolted Ava from her thoughts. "You dared me to present Aunt Karen with gifts worth over $500, but contrary to that, I delivered gifts worth $500 billion. Be a good boy and keep your words! Get on your knees and beg me..."

"You're a fool to think that I'll beg you! These gifts were delivered by the Dragon Lord or were you deaf when Miss Poison said that" Benjamin cut Chris off, adding "The gifts weren't presented in your name so I'll never bow my head for someone as stupid and poor as you are! Never!"

As Benjamin said these words, Chris clenched his fists tightly. He could have attacked Benjamin and made him kneel forcefully but remembered that he asked Miss Poison to keep his identity a secret so she did that by presenting the gifts in The name of the Dragon Lord.

"I'll be on my way now, Mrs Nile!" Benjamin said to Karen. Before he walked away, he turned to Chris and threatened "I'm not done with you Chris. My brother took your precious wife away from you and I will be taking Ava from you as well. In this life, you're made to be a second hand!"

"Remember when you used to call me BOSS? You will forever call me your BOSS until you die! Excuse me..." He walked out immediately, leaving Chris in anger.

Chris just had to control his temper and greeted Mr Josh, his godfather. When Mr Jones threw Chris out of their home, Josh picked him up and trained him like his own child but his wife never liked him.

One of the reasons Chris kept his identity a secret is to protect Ava and her family from his enemies who want him down. One of them is Benjamin and he'll stop at nothing to make Ava his wife.

Knowing the kind of person Benjamin is, Chris vows never to let Ava marry him. So, he volunteered to live with Ava in her parents home.

It was so hard for Karen to accept Chris into her home but the moment they got home, she called him out in the dining room.

"I only accepted you into this house because we raised you. Although you grew up to become an ex convict, I still took you back. But mind you, I didn't pick you back just so you can feed on my daughter's salary!"

"If you must live in this house, you must have something to do!" She added.

Chris didn't see this as a problem so he shook his head positively to what Karen said.

"I'll definitely find a job for myself, Aunt!" Chris said, but Karen cut him off

"When I said you'll get something done, I meant you should have a job! And I already arranged a job for you!"

"Excuse me?" Chris asked, his expression mixed with curiosity. "You found a job already?"

"Yes! I spoke to Mr Burton earlier to find you a job and he agreed. Prepare yourself tomorrow, you will be working for Mr Burton in his company!”
