"So, is it true that the woman named Amber is Glenn Smith's lover?" Roesli inquired after Eugene finished her story.

"Yes, darl—"

"Master, call me by the title 'master' as well," Roesli corrected, cutting off Eugene's words.

His gaze wasn't focused on Eugene; his mind was wandering, searching for the best scenario to hurt the Smith family.

"You, call that talkative kid," Roesli commanded one of his guards with a hand gesture.

The burly guard, covered in tattoos from head to face, stepped forward and, without asking, left the room. Eugene wondered who the 'kid' Roesli was referring to. Was it the man that the young master mentioned yesterday as the disrespectful lover named Amber?

Eugene speculated about what happened to the young man after they were humiliated by Smith, who had driven them away. Her curiosity was answered when the tattooed guard entered, dragging the battered and swollen-faced young man.
