Part 3

Xavier clenched his fists.

A sigh, a sign that he was trying to release all the burdens and anger from the humiliation spoken by his ex-wife, fueled a fierce resentment within Xavier. Truly, he never felt regret after being divorced by that woman. However, Xavier would never accept the fact that she dared to insult him.

As if realizing that his anger would only waste his time, Xavier let go of it, shifting his focus to something more important. He reached into his pocket and took out his phone without a case.

His hands were skillful, dancing across the screen as he played with it. Once he found what he was looking for, Xavier pressed his phone to his left ear, attempting to contact someone whose name was written in characters only he could understand.

After a short while, the call connected. A person with a soft voice, a sign of respect towards Xavier, spoke from the other end.

"Get ready at the location. I'm back."

A few concise words from Xavier carried significant meaning.

The voice on the phone, not much different in age from Xavier, continued speaking while Xavier walked monotonously towards his car. Xavier remained silent, and only the other person on the phone kept talking, discussing everything necessary for Xavier to know.

Beep!

Click! Click!

As Xavier pressed the button on his car key, the call that had lasted for several minutes was abruptly ended.

Thud!

Xavier forcefully closed his car door, his hands rough on his face. For a moment, he tried to calm his thoughts, emphasizing once again that he felt no sadness or anything about the divorce. However, he still couldn't accept his ex-wife's actions.

Elnora's harsh words, telling him to leave without taking anything, ignited a volatile side within Xavier. He couldn't tolerate such disrespectful behavior.

Xavier gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"Argh!"

A single word, a sign of frustration, escaped from Xavier's mouth. Eventually, a message notification appeared on his phone.

+6285742...

[Location!]

Someone without a name sent a message containing a location to Xavier. Without hesitation, he placed his phone within reach.

Xavier used the map sent by the unknown number.

Vroom!

The sound of Xavier's car engine wasn't too loud. Shortly after, he stepped on the gas pedal, driving through the not-so-crowded streets.

Fifteen minutes had passed.

Starting from navigating city streets, where Xavier encountered a few vehicles, he now directed his car toward a narrow road. The road, seemingly only wide enough for one car to pass, appeared deserted. Few people traversed it, and buildings like shops were almost nonexistent along the way.

Occasionally, Xavier glanced at the continuously connected maps on his phone, ensuring he was on the right path.

"Turn left. Turn right."

The voice from G****e Maps filled the silence in Xavier's car.

Xavier's life seemed flat; he showed no interest in breaking the silence by playing music from the dashboard radio. Xavier's face brightened slightly when he reached a village, with houses tucked away, inaccessible by his large car.

Throughout the journey, Xavier encountered no other vehicles. He hadn't seen anyone in the rural area since earlier.

Gradually, Xavier's car turned onto a one-way street lined with dense weeds and occasional fields owned by villagers.

Xavier smiled as he sensed the tranquil and serene atmosphere of the countryside. He stepped on the brakes when his car stopped at a massive and towering gate.

Honk! Honk!

Xavier honked his car horn several times until two security guards, dressed in their distinctive attire, began opening the gate. They bowed when they noticed Xavier's car slowly entering the area of an extravagant house.

A long exhale escaped Xavier's mouth. After a tiresome journey, he finally reached his destination. Xavier seemed to retract his body, leaning back briefly to alleviate his fatigue.

The sound of flowing water from several fountains in the area added to the tranquility for Xavier. Fish of various sizes and colors swam freely in a pond specifically designed for them.

Although Xavier was now in a predominantly small, uniform, and concealed village, the possibility of a grand, majestic building standing in the midst of the village could not be ruled out.

The secret house, hidden by Xavier for so long, was once again visited by him. He couldn't remember how long it had been since he last set foot in his secret home.

Ding! Xavier picked up his phone to view a message.

Xavier grinned. He looked at his phone screen, showing a screenshot from someone. The screenshot contained a chat between his ex-wife, Elnora, and her female friend.

From the beginning, Xavier clearly knew the motive behind Elnora's divorce request. Unsatisfied, she wanted to find someone other than Xavier.

Without her knowing who Xavier really was, he put his phone back in his pocket. For Xavier, there was something more important at the moment.

A sigh escaped from his mouth before Xavier decided to step out of his car.

Thud! Click!

After closing the car door, Xavier made sure to lock it. He stood in front of a few steps that would lead him to the terrace of the luxurious house.

Xavier observed the grand house for a moment. His footsteps eventually took him up and stopped right in front of the main door of the lavish house.

Not long after, several black sedans gradually arrived at a moderate speed.

Xavier smiled faintly. If not observed carefully, others might not know that Xavier was smiling. He then faced the black cars that had just parked randomly. Xavier seemed intentionally to turn his back to the main door of the luxurious house.

One by one, people in the cars descended with a certain elegance. Their average-sized and ideal body postures might make anyone who saw them feel intimidated. Moreover, the all-black attire and black sunglasses worn by everyone added to the intimidating impression suitable for these muscular individuals.

Without waiting for each other, they immediately approached Xavier, forming a neat group behind him.

Shortly after, without waiting for any signal because they all seemed to understand, they created a gap between each other, as if giving way to someone.

Indeed, a man who seemed to hold a higher position than all the muscular individuals walked until he stopped right in front of them.

The man faced Xavier with the muscular individuals neatly behind him.

Xavier remained silent.

Before long, the man in front bowed as a sign of respect, followed by the muscular individuals behind him.

"Welcome back, Mr. Xavier."

They all greeted him with great respect.
