Ash stared at Damien’s confused emerald eyes.

He really looked a lot like his father.

She lowered the hand that was attached on her shoulder and smiled at him. “You know what, maybe we should just forget fighting for a while and focus on your father’s funeral. That would be best, won’t it?”

Damien could tell she was avoiding his questions. As much as he wanted to question her about it, Damien only looked at her.

“You needed to rest, didn’t you?” Ash said. “Go. I’ll take care of the media.”

Damien left shortly. The next morning, Damien’s car arrived at Blackwell Tech accompanied by police. They escorted him into the conference hall where journalists gathered to interview him. Damien addressed a few words, expressing his lamentations for the loss of the founder of Blackwell Tech as well as reassuring the public that their company will not lose its quality simply because their creator had left.
