Sean raised his hands in a sign of surrender. “Chloe, calm down…”

“Oh, now you want me to calm down?” she glared at him. “You know what? Maybe Amelia was right, you're a horrible person and you're a pervert.”

She grabbed her bags angrily, setting them up to leave.

Sean ran in front of her, blocking her way. His heart was beating so fast that it was a surprise she didn't hear it.

Listen, I can explain everything. I just need you to calm down and hear me out.

“I don't want to hear you out. I want to leave.” She glanced pointedly at the door he was standing in front of.

Sean was losing hope at this point. “Chloe, please.”

“I will scream if you don't move out of my way right this second.” She said firmly, having every intention of shouting at the top of her lungs.

Sean realized this, so he moved out of her way.

Chloe gave him a wide berth as she walked towards the door.
