Chapter 103

Instead of stopping Jake and Marcus, the drunk customers shouted and cheered. Two of them stood up, closed the door, and guarded it.

Jake felt the danger he was in. But this was nothing compared to the monsters and enemies he had faced before. Also, he thought that this would be the right time for him to give Marcus a good lesson.

Marcus was his longtime friend, and as far as he could remember, they had known each other since middle school. Marcus used to help him against the bullies. He didn’t fight, though; he just helped him hide.

Then their friendship continued until they became full adults. However, Marcus became a bit of a delinquent due to his not-so-child-friendly family background. He engaged himself in some illegal activities and jobs. However, he still didn’t leave Jake.

“Are you sure you want to do this here? "Jake asked as he tilted his head to see the bartender. “Will the owner allow this? ”
