As Damon lay on his bed, thoughts flooded his mind about why Phillips would commit such an act. Phillips appeared too innocent, acted too innocent—someone no one would suspect. Going to the police wasn’t an option; there was no evidence pointing towards Phillips, all signs directed at Danny. However, allowing Danny to go to prison for Phillips was not something Damon could tolerate. He would rather face dire consequences himself.
