A card to your name

After walking out of the station, they hopped into luxurious cars with Eric and drove to a restaurant.

All the men hopped down and one of them quickly opened the door for Eric once again.

“Isn't this valion restaurant?” Eric’s mouth flew open. The place was a place of perfection. The building on its own looked like it was built with silver due to the way it reflected the sun on it.

“It's just a cheap restaurant, young master.” One of the men replied.

“A cheap restaurant? A meal here costs two hundred thousand dollars, and you call this cheap? I won't be able to pay anything here…” Eric wanted to use his name but figured he didn't even know it. He was starting to think it was all a ploy. The type his step-brother did to him.

“My name is Damien, young master, and besides, this is one of your properties. If you want it now, it's all yours.” Damien said.

“Mine? You can't be serious, right?” Eric forced a smile.

“Ooh yes, I am,” Damien replied, but he saw Eric was reluctant to follow him in, so he quickly thought of something to stir things up.

“What if I showed you this?” Damien said and brought out a picture. Immediately Eric saw the picture, his eyes widened in shock.

“That's my mom! Where did you get that picture from?” Eric recognized who it was at one glance.

“You have to follow me to find out.” Damien smiled, seeing he had captivated the lad's interest.

“Lead the way then.” Eric sighed.

Damien smiled and led him to the entrance. Before then, he asked the other men to wait outside. After getting into the entrance, Eric saw an exquisite view.

There were lots of customers eating when they walked towards the counter to meet the receptionist.

“Get the manager of this restaurant down here. I want to book this entire restaurant.” Damien said to the young lady. Hearing so, and given how expensive he dressed, she quickly took the phone and called the manager.

Shortly after, a man in his later forties ran towards them. When he saw Damien, he quickly knelt on the floor.

“Welcome sir. You should have told me over the phone that you were coming.” The man said quickly. Everyone including the receptionist was taken by shock. None of them expected the manager of a five-star restaurant to bow to anyone.

“I am all here with my young master. He doesn't like crowds, so sends everybody out. We are booking the whole place.” Damien said indifferently.

“Young master? May I know where he is, so I can greet him?” The man replied without even paying attention to Eric. To him, Eric was someone of no significance. He even wanted to call the guards on him, but first, he had to attend to Damien.

“This is him. This is my young master.” Damien said.

“Who?” the man said, looking past Eric hoping to find someone.

Pak!

Damien slapped him hard on the face. “Are you insane? Are you telling me you can't see him? Is he invincible, or are you trying to mock me?” Damien grumbled.

That was when the man could finally see Eric. It felt like his senses weren't working well before, but the slap did wonders.

“I am sorry for not seeing you quickly. Forgive me for my insolence.” The man turned towards Eric, scratching his head on the floor.

Though Eric was stunned, he wanted to get the information he wanted quickly.

“We just want to talk,” Eric said.

“You heard him, now send everyone out!” Damien snapped at him.

Quickly, the man jumped on his feet and looked towards the receptionist.

“What are you still doing? Send everyone out quickly. The whole restaurant has been booked.” He snapped at her, almost as though he would slap her.

She jumped into action while he turned back to Eric. “Please follow me, I'll lead you to the VIP section.” He said, and Eric followed him quietly.

Soon they arrived at a vast room with even more luxurious fittings. The man walked out immediately after, while Damien sat on the opposite side.

“We have been looking for you for years ever since your mom ran away with you.” He started quickly.

“We have been searching for you all these years and were only able to find you after the viral video online. I am so glad to find you, young master.” He continued.

“What if I am all the wrong person? What if I am not this young master?” Eric asked.

“Yes, you are. I am very sure of it.” He took a deep breath before continuing. “You have a big scar on your back?” He asked.

“How would you know?” Eric gasped.

“That's because you are the heir to Juan Manuel corporation.” He replied.

“What?” Eric was overwhelmed by what he heard, and at the same time fed up. He knew that name from somewhere. That man was a great influencer who happened to be the richest man in the city. His net worth alone was staggering, and this man was telling him he was the heir to such a company.

“I can't believe this. It has to be a lie. I am no one. I can't be Juan, whatever you are talking about.” Eric stood up, sounding pissed. “You must be mistaken. Please find someone else.” He wanted to leave again when Damien spoke.

“How did I know your mother then? How could I have known she ran away with you twenty-three years ago? How could I have known you had a scar on your body? That isn't just a scar but a birthmark. It signifies you are the true heir.” Damien spoke quickly.

“It must be a coincidence. I got that scar in an accident.” Eric disagreed.

“Then why hasn't it healed all these years? It is still how it was.” Damien asked, and he froze in shock. “I know this is hard for you to take in, but that's the truth,” he added.

Eric kept quiet, not knowing what to say anymore. Damien saw it was a lot to take into, so he walked towards him and slid a card into his pocket.

“That card has my number. You can call me anytime, and I will take you to your father. Also, that card has a sum of two hundred million. You can use it to buy some tea or anything. I will be waiting anytime you are ready.” Damien said after sensing Eric wouldn't believe him even if the conversation lasted for a whole day.

“I am done with this!” Eric snapped and hurriedly walked out of the place.
