Belittled and insulted at a store

Eric walked along the road thinking about the whole thing. It was so good to be real. He was just a man with no background, ever since his mom died, he lost the will to live. If not for his wife who married him, he could have been on the street.

How could someone like him be the heir to Juan Manuel's company? Shouldn't that be wrong?

“Isn't that the person we saw on the video? That same guy who stole those clothes from the shopping mall?”

“Yes, that's him. Look how dirty-looking he is. Such a fool. He couldn't resist stealing and even had the guts to do that in broad daylight? Has he no shame?”

“Why did the police let him go? You better stay away from him before you lose your purse.”

Some women kept muttering among themselves while staring at Eric with disgust on their faces. They also made sure to keep their distance and hold on to their bag tightly, thinking if they blinked Eric would separate them from it.

“Get away from here, thief.” An old man said and tossed rotten food at him. If not for how quickly Eric dodged, he could have gotten stained.

Though he was angry, he wouldn't blame them. After all, it was his brother who framed him all this while. Still in his thoughts when he came across an ATM along the way.

Immediately, his head drifted over to the card Domain gave him. He quickly searched himself and found it in his right pocket and stared at it for a while.

Sighing, he walked to the ATM and inserted the card. Then an interface appeared asking him for an amount. At first, he wasn't sure of what to do yet. Damien told him there were two hundred million in the account, so he wanted to know if it was real.

Quickly he smashed fifty thousand dollars with the hope that it would get declined, but to just wildest surprise, the machine vibrated and money began to flow out of it continuously.

“What the….” Eric's mouth hung open as he stared in shock. How could there be such a kind of money in the account? He had never seen such an amount in his life if not today. Money filled the whole place, even down to his feet.

He quickly gathered it up and into his pockets. He wouldn't want anyone to see him with such an amount, or else who would know what might happen.

Since it was real. Since it was all true, Eric thought about getting his wife a necklace. After all, he had never gotten her one before. All this while he had caused her so much pain by being poor, so now at least he wanted to put a smile off her face.

Quickly, he got into a cab and drove to a jewelry store. There had been a piece he had been admiring for a long while. Since he couldn't afford it before, he could only fantasize about it but now he had the money and wanted to get it.

He had never bought her something, even for once, but today he would.

Eric walked into the moonlight jewelry store with a smile on his face.

Initially, when a customer came in all the sales agents would run to them, but in Eric's case, they could only ignore him.

Sighing, he walked toward the show glass that was displaying all the expensive necklaces that were made of diamond while some were jade.

After searching for a while, he found a jade necklace that matched the color of his wife's eyes. Unable to resist its beauty, Eric reached his hand for it when someone grabbed onto him and pushed his hands off.

“Hands off. Those are not for sale.”

A feminine voice sounded with so much disdain in her eyes. She was one of the sales agents who ignored him earlier, but after seeing he was going for an expensive piece, she couldn't overlook it.

“What are you saying? If it's not for sale, why was it put out for display?” Eric asked, feigning the fact that she pushed his hand.

“It's not for sale for the likes of you. That jade cost five million. I am sure you have never seen ten dollars in your life, so how can you afford that lot?” She sneered.

“You better go to that roadside seller and get one of a few cents to give to whomever you want to. We don't indulge poor people here.” She ridiculed him more.

“Have you no matters at all? Is that how you talk to customers?” Eric grumbled, sounded pissed, but she chuckled at his face.

“Customers?” She braced her sight and looked past him before looking back. “I don't see any. What I see here is a poor man with no penny in his account. From how dirty you look, I can predict what's in your account.” She taunted.

“You better watch your mouth! I won't let you insult me as you wish!” Eric warned, losing his patience.

“What are you going to do? Cry over it? Don't worry, before that happens I will ask the guards to bundle you out!” She snorted.

“Such insolence. I want to see your manager this minute. You can't be a lousy brat and stay employed in this place.” Eric fumed.

“And what makes you think you are worthy of seeing the manager? You better get out of this place or else I will ask the guard to reshape your poverty-looking face!” She threatened expecting him to shiver and run away but rather he stood still glaring at her and raising his voice the more.

Other customers were attracted to the event and were supporting the sales agent. The way Eric looked couldn't be compared to the cleaner, talk less of being able to pay for an item here.

“And what's the fuss all about?" A bald haired man grumbled as he approached them.
