I want you to divorce your wife

Damien drove Eric to a mansion, after which the latter told him he wanted to see everything about his family. Damien was overjoyed as he handled the steering wheel into a mansion. After all these years, he finally had the opportunity to bring the young master home.

The exterior of the mansion was grand and impressive with sweeping lawns, tall windows, and decorated with many patterns. The wall itself looks like it was built with gemstones. One can see his reflection from the walls alone.

The car drove by a fountain and parked. Eric walked out and kept staring like he was taken to heaven. The place was beyond what words could describe, as he was more than fascinated.

“This is your father's house, which is now yours,” Damien said after seeing how awestruck the lad was.

“And it's just one of the properties he owned. There is more. I can show you one after the other if you like.” Damien was brimming with happiness as he explained.

“Wow,” Eric explained and walked alongside Damien to the entrance. When they got in, the interior was staggering. It was decorated over the top with lots of opulent material and intricate details.

It was so enormous and grand that it could take one's breath away at one glance.

“Welcome home, young master!”

There was a loud chattering by many people lined up on each side with their heads bowed down immediately after they saw Eric. Though the lad was lost in admiration, their voices jerked him out of his daze.

Looking around, he found maids and guards dressed in expensive clothing bowing to him. He was so shocked that he became wordless.

“Welcome home, young master,” Damien added bowing.

“We made sure to keep the house in the best way we can, just so it can please you. Please tell us if you don't like anything, and we will move it right away.” Damien added.

However, what caught Eric's attention was entirely a different thing. At the far end of the large room, he could see a large painting hanging on the wall. It was of someone.

Curiously, he walked towards it and was shocked to see himself in the painting. It was like he was staring at a mirror.

“That's me?” He gasped in shock.

“No, that's your dad, young master. You look alike in so many ways. The moment I saw you, it was as if I had seen him.” Damien commented.

Eric didn't know what to say. After paying a closer look, he saw the man had gray hair. Now all the doubts from before had been erased. He now believed that for sure he was the heir to this family.

That wasn't enough, right next to his father's picture was his mother. She looked so beautiful compared to Samantha, if not more. She was so young and full of energy as he stared at her, but sadly, she was now dead.

A hint of pain flashed in his eyes as he watched her, looking like he would succumb to tears.

“Young master, allow me to announce to the world that we have found the heir to Juan Manuel. I know they will be very thrilled to know such.” Damien smiled, but rather Erica's expression changed.

“No, not yet. I don't want the world to know me yet. I still have some unfinished business.” Eric replied.

Hearing this, Damien wasn't pleased. He was so happy that he wanted the world to know too, but since the lad said he wasn't ready yet, Damien could only agree. After all, he was here to carry out Eric's wishes alone.

“Also, I am not staying. I will be leaving for now. I will contact you if I need anything.” Eric said and started walking towards the door.

“There are so many cars, you can pick anyone of your choice. Be it Lamborghini, Ferrari, or any of the well-known brands you want.” Damien said quickly.

“Not now. Maybe sometime in the future.” Eric smiled.

“How about I offer you a ride?” Damien didn't relent.

“No. I don't want people to see me with you, or it will be too obvious.” Eric said, and with that, he boarded a taxi and went back home.

Upon entering the house, he started hearing sobs from inside the house. It was Samantha, his wife.

“Wife, what's wrong?” Eric asked worriedly.

“Eric?” Samantha raised her eyes to find his eyes, and she cried more. That made Eric angrier. He gritted his teeth tighter as the thought of someone offending his wife crawled into his thoughts.

“Did anyone offend you? Eric asked.

She wanted to reply when suddenly Eric's phone started buzzing. When he looked at the caller, he was surprised to see his mother-in-law calling.

Quickly Eric wanted to ignore the call but Samantha stopped him. She shook her head and told him to pick instead.

“Come to the villa. I want to talk to you.” Rachel said over the phone, sounding so serious. Even Eric was shocked by it as she rarely calls him If not today.

“Okay, I am coming,” Eric said and hung up. He looked down at his wife and wanted to ask her what was wrong, but she spoke first.

“You have to go. Mother is waiting.” Samantha nodded, and he had no choice but to go. He took a cab and drove down to the villa.

Inside the villa, Rachel was seated on the couch with worry itched all over her face. She kept hitting the table slowly with her finger when Eric walked in.

Looking at her, he thought something might have happened that was why she called him urgently but then after seeing her expression he just couldn't conclude.

“I didn't get to apologize properly yesterday, so I want to tell you I am sorry.” Rachel started, but Eric didn't buy it. He knew that wasn't the reason she wanted to see him.

“Tell me what you want, Mother,” Eric said firmly. Her expression changed, and she brought out a case and then pushed it towards him.

Eric was stunned and didn't even dare to collect it, but she left it in his front. Then she smiled.

“I want you to take this cash and divorce my daughter.” She said casually, and the words rang inside his ears.
