Wanting an apology

“Mum, are you sure you want to talk to us like that after knowing your son wronged us?” Eric suddenly said with so much courage that got all of them on the fence.

His daring tone was such a thing to be shocked about. All these while he never talked back but stayed behind in the shadow of his wife, but today he spoke a tone of mockery in his voice.

"What are you talking about, and how dare you speak to me in that manner?' Rachel sneered.

“Ooh yes, I will. I was framed by Micheal, yet you are siding with him?” Eric's eyes turned cold.

Samantha was shocked. Her husband had turned into a new person. She had always hated him for staying quiet, but currently, she was seeing him in a different light.

“You prick! Who framed you? Stop saying nonsense and leave this house!” Micheal snapped, trying to defend himself.

“What proof do you have that Micheal framed you? Stop taking high as though you didn't steal those clothes. Since you couldn't afford anyone, you want to give my daughter stolen clothes?” Rachel snickered.

“Your son is the thief, not me, and also I have proof!” Eric smirked and a wave of shock splashed on everyone, but they quickly washed it off thinking it was just a prank.

Ignoring their change of expression, Eric easily pulled out his phone and played a video that Damien sent him. He clicked play and turned the phone to their faces.

The video started playing on the loudspeaker, and they heard when Micheal was bribing the shop owner so he could frame Eric for stealing. They also saw when Micheal called the police after doing what he did.

Shortly after the video stopped playing, the place turned dead silent. Micheal especially was sweating profusely, while Samantha was smiling. Meanwhile, Rachel was shocked. She knew if that video leaked, then Micheal would be in trouble.

“What if I send this to the police? Do you know Micheal can be sentenced to life imprisonment?” Eric smiled.

“You will do no such thing.” Rachel glared at him expecting him to shiver but he looked her deep in the eyes.

“Mom, do something, please. I can't go to prison.” Micheal said with fear idling in his eyes.

“Shut up and let me think,” Rachel yelled at him before reaching out her purse and bringing out some cash. She knew this trick always worked on him, so decided to use it.

“Take this and delete that video.” She said and flung the money at him.

Eric stood with a smile etched on his face as he watched both of them. "You think I want money? You don't think I could have gone to the police rather than coming here? You think you can buy me off with your money?" Eric said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Rachel became disgusted as he seemed to be enjoying the whole thing while she was pissed to the core. If she had the chance she could have jumped at him and clawed his face.

"You prick! How dare you talk to my mom like that?" Michael sneered but then Eric looked at him like he was some idiot.

"Are you sure I'm a prick?" Eric grinned as he looked at Micheal.

"You know this prick could send you to prison right?" He continued with a grin etched on his face

"Also, the guys in prison would want someone like you. Your pretty face and virgin ass would give them a lot of pleasure. I'm sure you'll love it there." Eric let out a chortle as he said.

"How dare you?!" Micheal flew into a rage hearing what Eric said.

"Calm down pretty boy, save some strength for when you'll need it at prison with those men." Eric waved his hands as he said with a smile.

“What do you want then?” Rachel suddenly spoke with bloodshot eyes.

"What do I want?" Eric raised his eyebrows as he looked at Rachel.

"If you don't know what I want, I might as well leak this video, and then we'll see what happens then." Eric shrugged.

"I beg you please, don't leak that video. Please, I don't want to go through all that." Micheal pleaded almost falling to his knees but Eric ignored him to face Rachel.

"You should have a better attitude," Eric sighed, shaking his head.

"Please brother-in-law don't do this." Michael cried, sweating profusely as he didn't want to go to prison.

"So I'm now your brother-in-law?" Eric chuckled as he said with amusement on his face.

"I..."

"Well, I wonder how you'll feel if you spend just a month over there. I'm sure you'll love it." Eric interrupted Micheal as he grinned.

Rachel was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say. With the evidence Eric had, her son was going to jail.

"I'll be taking my leave now," Eric said, his voice turning cold as he turned around.

"Mother please help me beg him." Micheal cried as he looked at his mother.

"You should warn him, there'll be no next time. And if there's a next time, I'm afraid you won't get to see him in the next three years." Eric added with a hint of coldness in his eyes on tone before turning towards his wife.

“Let's go!" He grabbed her arm and they left the house.

As soon as he left, Rachel started venting her anger. “How dare he? Who does he think he is for making me apologize to him?” She was overwhelmed.

She kept pacing around the room, cursing at him. She wouldn't let the anger go, never.

“And I made sure to cover all traces. Did that shop owner sell me out?” Micheal was confused. He paid a lot of money just to get the shop owner to work with him.

To get that proof, Eric must have bribed him, right? But then Michael laughed over the thought, as he knew in years to come, Eric would never get such an amount of money.

“Next time you do something like this, you better not leave any traces that will lead back to you, or else you are in for it!” Rachel snapped at him.

“Yes, mother. I will be careful next time.” Micheal replied quickly.

Meanwhile, outside the villa, Eric and Samantha were walking alongside the road.

“How did you manage to get that video?” Samantha said happily as she clung to his arm. She was so happy that he was able to get back at her mother and even make her apologize. It wasn't expected.

“Remember my classmate I told you about? He happened to help me sort it out. I didn't expect him to, but I was glad he did.” Eric explained.

“Then you should invite him over for dinner occasionally. I want to thank him.” She smiled.

“Okay. But for now, you have to go home.” He said, but she raised a brow at him.

“What about you?” She added.

“I would like to take a walk. I'll come back soon, I promise.” He smiled. Though she was reluctant to let him go, he quickly hailed a cab and helped her get in.

“Don't get into trouble, okay?” She asked while he gave her an assuring nod before the cab drove off.

After watching her for a while, he quickly pulled out his phone and dialed Damien's Number.
