I was framed

Smiling, Eric walked into a nearby store and bought a necklace that was worth even more. Everyone was startled by his actions and was pushed to watch each of his movements. No one expected he would do such a thing to the sales girl.

After she had successfully removed all the expensive items from the showcase, he walked out on her. Now all the stress she went through was for waste.

“Look at what you've caused!” The manager yelled angrily after watching Eric walk into the other shop and was now walking out with a piece of jewelry. That sale could have been made by him, yet the sales girl made things worse.

“I am sorry, sir. I didn't mean to…”

“You are dismissed!” He cut her off and angrily walked out.

Meanwhile, Eric was walking down the road admiring the piece of the necklace he bought when suddenly a thought crawled into his head. Quickly he pulled out the card again and dialed Damien's number.

“Hello, young master,” Damien said over the phone happily after picking up.

“Can you do some digging about what happened to me in the shopping mall that day? I need some valid proof to show my innocence.” Eric said quickly. Though that wasn't what Damian expected him to ask, he was more than ready to carry out Eric's wishes.

“Give me some time, please,” Damien said before Eric hung up.

He smiled as an evil hint flashed inside his eyes before boarding a taxi and heading home. He was living with his wife down the outskirts of the city since they didn't have money to afford a basic house in the city.

After reaching, he alighted the cab and got inside the house, right there a woman with an hourglass figure was seated on the couch. Her beauty could be compared to none. She had an oval face and was wearing a dress that exposed her lanky fair legs. Anyone who saw this could easily be attracted to her. It was Samantha, Eric's wife.

“Are you going somewhere? Eric said, and she jerked.

“Eric? She jumped to her feet. “I was about to bail you. Borrowing money was quite hard for me. How are you here?” Samantha was shocked.

Looking at her, Eric couldn't disclose his encounter with Damien, so he lied.

“A classmate of mine happened to come in and bail me. I didn't intend to bother you. I was so ashamed of myself.” Eric explained.

“I know Micheal framed you. You can never do such a thing!” Samantha was brewing in anger. She knew what her brother was capable of.

“Take this money, you have to pay him back. We can't owe anyone.” She added and shoved some cash into his palm.

“Don't worry about it. He was just paying back a favor. I don't owe him anymore.” Eric smiled. With the way the conversation was going, he didn't think giving her the necklace right away was a good deal, or else she might look at him suspiciously.

“Just give it to him. After all, I wanted to bail you with the money.” Samantha was persistent.

“It's an alright wife. You can use it for something else. Don't worry about it.” Eric gave her back the money and walked into the room. He knew if he stayed there, she would force him to take the money. She had suffered a lot because of him, and he wouldn't want to add more to it.

The next day, Samantha took Eric to their family house. Though Eric had been bailed, she couldn't accept what her brother did. She was still annoyed and Eric knew he couldn't stop her, so he followed.

“Two bunch of fools.” Micheal mocked as soon as he saw them enter the house. “I see you have been bailed. I was about to come save you.” He added with sarcasm in his tone.

“How could you do that to your brother-in-law? How could you?” Samantha walked towards his face as she spat.

“It's not like he doesn't deserve it. Just look at him, even the prison cell is too good for him. I see they didn't beat you that much.” Micheal said, staring daggers at Eric.

He wasn't sorry for what he did even a bit. If he had his chance, he could take Eric back to the cell and lock him up.

“How dare you! After framing him, you have the guts to say that to my face?” Samantha sneered.

“What are you going to do, sis? Is it my fault you married trash? With your beauty, you could get better men out there, yet you decide to go for a low taste. Just look at him!” Michael said with a hint of disgust in his eyes.

Pak!

As soon as he finished, Samantha gave him a hard slap that fell his face to the side.

“How dare you say such a thing about my husband. He is even better looking than you, yet you are criticizing him?” Samantha was furious.

“You bitch! You dare lay your filthy hands on me?” Michael burned in fury and reached for her to slap back when Eric stepped forward with a cold stare.

“You won't dare hit my wife!” he grumbled, staring at Micheal deep in the eyes.

“What can a dog like you do to me? Get out of my face!” Micheal pushed him off the way and wanted to advance further when a voice spoke from the entrance.

“What's going on here?”

Towards the door, a tall woman was standing there. A replica of Samantha but only older. She was Eric's mother-in-law.

“Mom, can you believe Micheal framed my husband? Did you see the video? It was so horrible.” Samantha explained at once, but she shunned her and walked towards Micheal.

Samantha felt angry at this and wanted to yell, but Rachel waved her hand in the air for her to keep quiet.

“Tell me what happened?” She asked Micheal and his eyes lightened up.

“Mother, Eric was caught stealing in the shopping mall and after getting arrested, Samantha here is blaming me for what happened.” He deluded.

“That's a lie. Mom, you shouldn't believe him. He is lying.” Samantha grumbled.

“You think this is a joke, right? After what you did to me, you are still lying?” Eric said with a bitter smile.

“Shut up, both of you! I won't tolerate you yelling in my house!” Rachel snapped at the both of them before turning to Samantha. “Blame yourself for marrying a worthless man into the family. We feed him, cloth him and the worst of it is that he disgraces us. Haven't we done enough for him? Did he think stealing from the mall would do him good?” She added.

Beep! Beep.

Eric's phone suddenly beeped.
