Chapter 3

"Please, Master." Smith opened the door of the Roll Royce he had brought to pick up Richard.

After ensuring Richard got in, Smith immediately headed for the passenger door at the front. After Jasmine kicked him out, Richard immediately contacted Smith to pick him up.

Smith's face looked excited. He glanced at Richard several times. "I'm glad you decided to come back, sir."

Richard turned to him flatly. He did not respond to Smith's words and just looked at him.

"So, is sir going back to the Marrison family now?" He asked him. Smith noticed the look on Richard's face.

The Marrison family that Smith mentioned was prominent in Zesna with their immense wealth. Richard was the heir of the Marrison family. But a few years ago, he decided to live under Richard Dawson because he wanted a genuine relationship and to be seen as just him and not the heir to the wealthy Marrison family.

During his search for someone who genuinely accepted him for who he was, Richard met Jasmine. The relationship between them was established until they finally decided to get married.

Although his relationship with Jasmine is over, Richard is still reluctant to return to the Marrison residence. Still not wanting to meet his father, Richard still blames his father for his mother's death.

While Allen-Richard's father let him live with his choices, then Smith, Richard's servant, also remained faithfully waiting for Richard's orders so that Richard did not really have any difficulties and could still do what he wanted.

Richard glanced out the window. he sat with his back against the chair. His sitting posture looks perfect, and although his clothes are shabby, Richard still looks dominating with his aura. "Take me to the mansion here instead," he replied in a flat and deep voice.

"Yes, sir." Smith immediately directed the Rollroyce towards a mansion.

The mansion was located in the city center. Richard's private residence was separate from the Marrison family's main residence before he decided to live in hardship.

But the true love she sought had turned away from her in favor of a man who could give her a little wealth and a little pleasure without knowing that he had done more to support Jasmine's success so far. Richard secretly contacted Smith directly and asked him to monitor the business that Jasmine's company was doing. He gave orders to Smith to help the company get many big projects. Unfortunately, Jasmine did not appreciate the modest effort he put in front of her. Instead, she betrayed him.

Richard was disappointed with what Jasmine had done. Little did he know that she would eventually be seduced by power and tempted by men's possessions, just like most women.

The Roll Royce they were using entered the courtyard of a mansion that stood majestically in an elite residential area. Smith got out as soon as his engine stopped, then moved swiftly to open the door for Richard.

As Richard exited the car, he gazed at the mansion he had left with an uncertain look. He did not expect her to return to the mansion again because of the failure of the plan he had prepared. He walked inside with Smith by his side.

When they arrived inside, Smith became anxious. "Sir, I'm sorry if the mansion is quiet at the moment," he said as he kept the mansion clean during Richard's absence.

Smith, who received a sudden call from Richard to pick him up before leaving, told the servants to get ready. He did not expect that Richard would prefer to return to his private mansion instead of the Marrison family's main residence, so there was not a single servant ready except for the servants who cleaned the mansion every other day, and that too in the morning.

"I'll get some more servants to come over soon to take better care of the mansion, sir." Smith was about to leave, but Richard's hand rose in the air and held him back. Smith raised his gaze and noticed Richard.

Richard glanced at him with his face flat and seemingly without interest. "You don't need to put many servants, just bring one or two. I'm uncomfortable with the presence of many people in my place of rest."

Smith nodded. "Yes, sir." He realized that his master's habits and lifestyle still hadn't changed.

Richard did not like excessive things even though he had everything and could get easy things in life without trying. But some things Richard preferred to do on his own without the need to bother others.

Richard headed for the main room. Behind him, Smith still followed him and waited for orders. Richard then sat on the single sofa in the room. He stared at the fireplace.

He didn't feel so angry because of Jasmine, but a part of him was very disappointed with what happened. He thought they could always be together, and he would give Jasmine a great life.

He had never felt more humiliated than that, even though he also received bad treatment from others when he traded in the market. But all the insults he could bear, except for the one Jasmine gave him.

Smith stood opposite him and watched Richard's silent face. "Sir, is there anything you would like me to do?" He asked as Richard seemed to think about something bothering him. "I have ensured this place is kept as it was, but perhaps the master would like certain changes?" Smith anticipated Richard's next command.

Richard looked at him with no interest. He wasn't interested in any changes at the moment. "You don't have to." He answered him briefly.

"Don't you want to change the decor or the furniture to suit your wife's taste?" he wanted to give his master the best.

Richard averted his gaze. "She won't come to this place," he answered calmly.

Smith, on the other hand, did not seem to understand what his master meant. A puzzled look appeared on his face. "What do you mean, Master?"

He looked at Smith. "Jasmine will not come to this house. Jasmine and I are divorced." Smith's eyeballs opened wide at what Richard said.

"You are divorced, Master?" Smith looked at him with a confused look on his face. This is information she just found out.

Richard looked away from Smith. "She had an affair with a lowly man." He answered briefly, relieving Smith of his confusion. "That's not an important thing for me to think about." He turned his gaze back to Smith. "You can go now. I want to rest."

Smith nodded politely. "Yes, Master." He turned to leave, closing the door to Richard's room.
