Chapter 4

"We have prepared all the food here according to your taste, Master." Smith had his notes on his master, which helped him prepare everything for Richard well and systematically.

There were various types of dishes that Richard's favorite seemed to be served there, but Richard only chose a small portion for him to enjoy and left the others intact. He did not have much appetite at the moment."Then find out what Jasmine and the man named Edward Brown are up to." Richard gave him more specific orders.

"Yes, Master. I'll do that right away." Smith got up from there. Then he contacted someone on his phone. The conversation between them went on for not too long. After hanging up, Smith returned to stand beside Richard. "From the information I got, today Jasmine will meet with Edward Brown at a jewelry store, Master."

Richard paused for a moment. He seemed to be thinking. "Jewelry store?" Richard made a small murmur.

Smith nodded his head. "Correct, Master." He could hear Richard's mumbling due to his heightened alertness. "The jewelry store they visited was The Emerald. The jewelry store was one of the businesses owned by the Marrison family. Still, following the custom of businessmen, the store was not registered under the name of the Marrison family but under my name."

Smith gave information that Richard remembered well even though he had never managed one of his jewelry stores.

Richard nodded in understanding. "Alright, then, get a vehicle ready for me." Richard gave another order to Smith.

As requested by Richard, in such a short time, Smith prepared what he asked for. "The vehicle you requested is ready, sir."

Richard got up from his seat and walked towards the place directed by Smith. Smith quickly opened the door of the Roll Royce they had been driving yesterday while Richard sat in the back and Smith in the front.

Smith called someone and spoke, "Prepare everything there. In a few minutes, my master will be at the shop, so make sure you prepare everything and inform the other staff."

Richard glanced at Smith, who was doing his job well. Things were moving fast when he asked Smith as if nothing was difficult for the man to do, and he did everything. Richard looked out the window, enjoying the view of the streets that felt different from when he had been hiding his identity.

"You don't have to come inside," Richard told Smith as soon as they arrived in front of the jewelry store that stood majestically in an elite area in the city center. Smith stood a little dumbfounded, then he quickly realized it and moved responsively.

Smith took a black card from inside his suit and handed it to Richard. "Here, sir, you almost forgot it." Richard accepted the card in his hand.

It had been a long time since he had held it. This card could make any purchase, and not everyone had it.

Richard nodded once and went inside the biggest jewelry store in the city center. Just as he opened the door, he saw Jasmine and Edward were there looking at him.

Jasmine's eyes looked at him wide. The woman looked shocked and confused at Richard's presence there. "What are you doing in this place?"

Richard ignored it. He walked inside and stood confidently. Edward, who also noticed his arrival, looked displeased at him. "Didn't you hear Jasmine ask what you are doing in this place?" He spoke in a high tone of voice.

It was only then that Richard turned his head towards them and noticed them. "Of course, I came to look around and buy something in this place. Do you have a problem with that?"

Jasmine looked at him with burning eyes. She felt that her hearing was being impaired, but her eyes said otherwise as she found Richard's presence right in front of her. "You came to buy something in this place?" She spoke sarcastically. "Don't joke. Someone like you would have the money to shop in this place!" Jasmine insulted him.

Richard was not so affected by it. He looked relaxed and let them look down on him. That way, they would not take it as soon as he surprised them. He wanted to see what the look on their faces would be like.

Edward laughed. Richard glanced at the man's hand that was easily wrapped around Jasmine's waist. "A riff-raff like you wants to buy something in this place? Seriously. How can you do that all this time you have lived with Jasmine? You seem to have lost your mind for not accepting your divorce. As a man, I suggest you accept reality and stop embarrassing yourself."

Richard smiled faintly, then stared at Edward calmly while the one being stared at felt inflamed by him. "I don't need your advice." He ignored them and looked around the place.

Jasmine who was annoyed to see it, blocked Richard's steps. "Don't act like you don't belong in this place at all," Jasmine told him.

Richard tilted his head and looked at Jasmine with a flat stare. He was not curious as to who made the concept of deserving and undeserving for someone, as he found the idea to be a little off in real life, many times he found that the people who said that to others were the ones who were undeserving, but they were too blind to see it.

"You know this place only sells expensive things. Look at this." Jasmine showed Richard the necklace she was wearing. "This necklace is worth two million dollars, and Edward bought it for me." She smiled proudly, showing the necklace to Richard, who laughed coldly at it.

"Right, your price is no more than that." Richard mocked her, then sat down on the plush sofa there.

Hearing his words, Jasmine looked at him with emotion. "What are you talking about? You who never even gave a hundred dollar item underestimates that kind of money!" She released her feelings by taking her eyes off Richard and then looked back at Richard as she remembered the purpose of the man coming to that place. "And someone like you wants to buy something in this place, huh? "Don't be delusional and wake up from your sleep. You are so poor."

"Hey, you." Edward who saw the shop assistant standing near them, called out to him. The salesgirl turned his attention to Edward, and he, along with the other salesgirl approached Edward. Then Edward pointed at Richard. "Take that guy out of this place. He might do harmful things, like stealing." He glanced at Richard and smiled mockingly.

The salesgirls noticed Richard, who looked back at Edward because he heard what Edward had said about him. "I'm not a thief," Richard said firmly.

"Sorry, but you'd better leave this place." The woman who staffed the shop was being unfriendly to him. But Richard ignored him completely.

"Didn't you hear? You need to leave this place right now!" the other waitress shooed him away even louder.

Richard looked at them flatly. "Didn't you hear from your manager that you have an important guest today?"

The two salesgirls looked at each other. It was true that they were getting such instructions, but they believed one thing. "True, but I believe the important guest is not you. So leave this place right now. There's no way that the important guest our manager is referring to is someone who comes dressed like you." They looked at Richard from his toes to his head. His appearance of wearing only a plain, shabby-looking t-shirt made them believe that he was hallucinating, just like what Jasmine and Edward had said.

"Right, I know that guy very well," Jasmine spoke to them. "He's just a poor man, so you better send him away."

Richard looked at Jasmine and then turned his gaze to the two men. "Tell me, how much is the most expensive jewelry in this place?"

The salesgirls laughed. "You're kidding. The most expensive jewelry in this place is one hundred and fifty million dollars. What do you want to pay for it with? Even the organs in your body are not as expensive as."

Richard held out his Black card to the woman. "I pay with this." He surprised the four people who had been ostracizing him. He smiled at their suddenly changed faces.
