6: A NEW HOMELESS

"Calm down Boss, I can explain."

**SLAP!**

This time he got a slap in the face. Was well given that he made the counter shudder with the structure of the pizzeria.

Paff!

Andrew's body hit the floor like a sack of potatoes and he landed on his stomach so as not to hurt his face. He grabbed the right cheek which was sure to ignite within moments.

["YOU THINK I NEED AN EXPLANATION?"]

"After the opportunity I gave you, you still try to deceive me."

Viviani was smoother after he landed that slap in Andrew's face.

Andrew got up little by little and even though that was a sad and difficult scene to watch. Viviani smiled with his giant yellow teeth.

Andrew remained silent and as he was hungry and weak, he couldn't even expend the energy to continue talking.

Viviani came out from behind the counter and started up the stairs to the top floor.

Andrew took the moment to go behind the counter to pack his things.

"That's it. Pack your things because I don't want to see you here anymore. You're fired and let me tell you that your compensation will pay for the days you spent here without me knowing! You idiot!"

Andrew remained silent as he packed his things. A few tears began to run down his face.

(But, I just wanted to live next door to Alice. Why Me? It's always the same sh*t)

Andrew wanted to scream but he was still inside the pizzeria.

"Send your regards to Finral. He's as stupid as you are"

*Glop, glop, glop.*

Viviani gulped whiskey from an aluminium bottle and after sighing, he looked at Andrew who was dragging himself out of the pizzeria.

*Plap!*

The door to the pizzeria closed behind Andrew and he didn't know where to go. Sterling City was a place for workers or people who had some money. And Andrew had neither. He finally became a real homeless.

He didn't even have money to travel, and he wasn't used to begging.

He had always found some peace in forests, so he ventured into the first one he came across.

Sterling City had only one big forest, and that's where all the homeless hung out at night. Sterling Forest, a place known to be a stress escape for most workers in the area.

"FRUSHHH!" Bushes moved with some violence.

"Aff, aff. There you go. That's it. Go on."

Andrew was still on the forest outskirts but he could already hear the noise of fervent couples at the end of the day.

He was looking for a place with not a single living soul so he could die in peace with hunger, but it was hard to find.

After a few hours of walking along those trails, he came face to face with a giant boulder, covered in moss. Flat enough that he could lie down on it and feel something like a bed.

And he didn't wait long until he felt at home. He was going to sleep there that night and maybe start looking for things to do the next day.

"Prrrrriiiiiiiiiii" something wet and hot hit Andrew's face.

"WHAT A... HEY! WHAT A..." even though Andrew still didn't understand why and how he was being pissed.

"Praff!" Andrew's body landed on the ground amid leaves.

Standing there he could see a thin old man smiling. With a few missing front teeth, dressed in colorless clothes full of cuts.

"Who are you?"

"The owner of the stupid bed. You can get out of there, it belongs to me," that gentleman was more of a beggar than Andrew could ever be.

The beggar started to clean with a cloth a corner of the stone that was wet with and then he started to put sheets over it as if he were really making his bed.

Andrew realized that there was this homeless place.

"PAH!" An aluminium bowl landed on the floor next to Andrew.

"You must be hungry. Eat what's there and get out of here."

Andrew hadn't even looked at what was in the bowl, but his belly had realized it was food and was soon growling, "Brrrlll".

"Don't be ashamed. Eat. That's life. Some days you wake up being pissed by someone, and the next you're on top of the world pissing someone else."

Andrew even if he didn't like how that homeless had treated him initially, he was happy with the kindness he showed. Nobody treated him well in days.

"Thank you, Sir."

"Ah, eat and get out of here. Don't forget to leave my bowl. It's not yours, mucky."

Those words were bitter and sweet at the same time.

Andrew ate that leftover pizza with meat and burrito bits like it was the best meal he'd had in a long time.

He was tearing up because didn't know when would be able to eat something as delicious as that so soon.

A few minutes later he was still in the woods looking for a good place to sleep.

He found a lake and took the opportunity to wash his face, which still smelled of that beggar's piss. At least he had food in his belly.

"Squash! Squash!" He wiped his face as he looked up at the bright moon in the sky and wished he could be somewhere other than that one right now.

A small snowflake fell on the cheek that was inflamed from the slap "Ah, f*ck, is it going to start snowing? Just now that I'm homeless. That's unfair."

That dense forest had many trees, it was easy to get some that still had shade and hadn't lost all the leaves.

Andrew found a Campestre Acer and spent the night under that big tree. The day only got worse because he never went through that situation. Andrew didn't know how he was going to turn around. He would probably be a beggar forever and ever.

The snow was falling and quickly that place turned white, making a contrast with the full moon in the sky and with Andrew's mind, which slept with tears and snot frozen by the cold of that climate.
