Chapter 3

Jason could not believe that finally, with the amount of money at his disposal, he would be able to live a comfortable life and pay off all his debts.

He was too excited to sleep all night. He anticipated the next morning with all his heart.

His debts were cleared, and finally he was getting a new identity.

His day of not being able to afford a five dollar meal was finally over.

The day finally broke and he got ready immediately and waited for the car that Alex said would be sent to him in the morning.

The car finally came and as Jason looked through the window, he could not believe his eyes. It was an expensive car, a black bugatti at that .

From his experience, at least he worked at a restaurant and he had seen cars, he could tell immediately that it was a very expensive one. Which he knew he could not even afford to rent.

Quickly, he brought out his screen cracked phone to check out the price.

After scrolling for a few minutes, he was shocked at what he saw. A gasp escaped his lips when he saw a brand new gold plated Bugatti La Voiture Noire with the same spec with what was parked before him.

Obviously the latest, and then looking at the price, it costs a whooping 12 million dollars.

"This is huge," he said to himself.

Unable to take the surprise, but then his thought were caught short when the chauffeur said. "Young master, we need to leave now. We still have a lot to cover."

"Forgive my manners." he snapped out, and proceeded.

As he headed out to enter the car, he saw Cecilia alight from a cab. She was surprised to see him entering the car. She knew that he did not have the money to buy it.

"Whose car is this?" She asked him.

"I think the real question is what are you doing here?" He asked her.

"I'm here to pick up the things I forgot in your house," she said as she looked at him with disdain in her eyes.

"Sir, we need to get going," the driver said as he opened the door of the car for Jason.

"Give me a minute," Jason said to him. He then turned to Cecilia.

"Once you are done with collecting every one of your belongings, please get out of my house and keep the keys under my carpet," he said to her before he walked away.

Cecilia was surprised at everything that was suddenly happening. She left him broke last night, and here he was entering an expensive car in the morning. She began to plot a new way to humiliate him.

Jason sat comfortably in the car and was still savoring the expensive leather seats. He had never been in a car this nice.

"Where are we going?" He asked the driver.

"To the company sir," the driver replied curtly without taking his eyes off the road.

Jason's phone began to ring immediately and when he took it out, it was Caleb calling him.

Jason thought that he probably wanted to apologize for what had happened last night.

He answered the call immediately.

"You don't need to apologize for anything," he spoke first to Caleb with a tinge of pride in his voice.

"I'm not calling you to apologize for anything," Caleb said. His voice was a bit shaky as though he was scared of something. Jason was worried.

"Did you steal any money?" Caleb asked him. Jason was taken aback by the question.

"Of course not," Jason replied. "You of all people know that I would never take anything that does not belong to me," Jason added.

Caleb was silent for a brief moment before he spoke.

"Well, I am at school and the principal is looking for you because there has been a theft report," Caleb explained.

"What theft report?" Jason asked, still puzzled at what was suddenly going on.

"The college fund is missing from the school's account, which they believe was hacked and all the money stolen," Caleb explained further even though he was getting impatient at Jason's numerous questions.

"What does that have to do with me?" Jason asked. "I don't even know how to hack and I would never steal anybody's money," he said.

"I don't think that is the issue now," Caleb said. "I think you should come to school right away," he added.

"But why would the principal think that I am the one that stole the money?" Jason asked. He was still confused by everything that was going on.

"Well, the person who reported you to the principal is Cecilia and she says she has strong evidence that you are the one that stole it," Caleb replied.

Jason could not believe his ears. Cecilia went ahead to implicate him because they were no longer dating.

He knew however that instead of sitting there and feeling bad about it, he needed to clear his name very fast.

"Take me to my school," he said immediately to the driver who did as he was told immediately.
