162. The Whistleblower.

It was at this moment that Xavier realised they had been holding hands all the while and at once he pulled away, glaring at him.

“What was that for?” He huffed, glaring at him.

“You looked pissed so I decided to reassure you.” Liam laughed.

After a brief silence, Xavier cleared his throat and with his hand resting on the table, he leaned towards him.

“If they get to know I'm the one who helped you with all these, my job will be at stake but nevertheless, I will be the whistleblower.”

Stunned, Liam couldn't utter a word. He kept staring with his mouth slightly apart, trying to wrap his head around what he just heard.

“Do you have a second job?” Liam asked.

“Nope, I will find something else to do. You don't have to bother about me.” Xavier said, flashing him a smile.

“Bother about you? I’m just helping.” He scoffed, pulling the envelope to himself but Dave took it from him.
