"How is she doing?" Jayden asked Alex, after a few minutes of silent ride. He wanted to see her face, and know how she was doing.

"When Andrea and I got there, she seemed good, just that she was not ready to meet us yet. She passed out, because of the high fever, but she is fine now. She only needs to rest, as the doctor said," Alex intoned, without lying or missing a detail.

"Hm."

Alex had to start getting used to the new house, else he would keep using the lane leading to Fernando's mansion.

They got to the house, and Jayden was welcomed by the people, who were now working for him.

He wished Carina was here. Though he pretended that everything was okay, he could remember sleeping next to her, intoxicated by her pleasant smell.

He recalled how peaceful he had slept in her embrace, and how she looked while asleep. It was as though his mind had captured every inch of her face.

He went to his room, to freshen up, and start working again. He had a lot to do, and he seemed a bit distracte
