Chapter 56

As she stood up to do the dishes, Peter had crept up behind her on tiptoes, so as to take her unawares.

He stood behind her, while she kept talking. He could not help it. He wanted to laugh, but that will only ruin his plans.

As she turned around, he held her on the waist, and gave her a light kiss on the lips.

"Peter! You scared me. Holy Jesus!" She exclaimed, holding on tightly to the part of her dress over her chest.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," he said, walking back to his seat, "by the way, I love how you look, when you are surprised. I should do that, often. What do you think?" He smirked.

"I think you should abort such thoughts, except you want to see me dead!" She said, sternly.

"Okay, fine." He chuckled, walking towards her, "after the get-together, you two will move in with me. Tonight, I want to spend it enjoying my last night of sleeping alone." He said, stopping in his tracks; a step more, and he would be just an inch away from her.
