"She's the last person I'd go to for help," Spike said, shaking his head. "She's the reason I'm in this mess in the first place."

Elliott raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? I thought your mom has always tried to support you?"

Spike sighed. "She's tried, I guess. But she's never really understood me. She's always pushing me to be someone I'm not."

Spike shook his head. "I don't want solutions, I just want someone to listen."

As Spike rejected his suggestion, Elliott winced. He was just trying to help, and it was frustrating that his advice wasn't being heard.

As Elliott watched Spike dismiss his suggestion, he felt a pang of disappointment. He knew that offering emotional support was important, but it was also draining. And on top of that, he had his own problems to deal with, like Robin's struggles. He wondered how he could juggle it all without losing himself in the process.
