CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN

Kate had left the Riverdale’s mansion and was standing at the front of the house, waiting for her ride. They had offered to allow a driver take her home but Kate had humbly declined the offer. She needed some time to think and she couldn’t do it when everywhere smelled like them.

She felt like she had made a grave mistake by coming here. Although, the woman had treated her with respect, her son had done the exact opposite. He had insulted her family and even downgraded her. No wonder his mother had chosen her, she knew she had patience and would be able to endure his nonsense.
