William’s gaze turned cold as he smoothly turned around with an intense swipe of his left leg, landing a brutal kick to a burly man’s chest. Early the next morning, Drake walked into the McArthur headquarters with prideful steps despite the bandages on his right arm. Unfortunately for them, Drake’s influence in the McArthur headquarters was, for unknown reasons to most employees far greater than theirs. There had been about eight other interns who started with Drake, Ian, and Laura. Then Drake began to make a move on all of them. For every single intern who tried to resist, they were pressured further by Drake, using the mysterious influence he had in this company. Later, all the other eight interns couldn’t take it anymore. Some of them actually lost their lives to Drake’s scheming. As for the rest, they either ended up quitting or they had their internship contracts terminated due to being framed for something that they didn’t do.This was basically it. Drake is a nasty predator, and the McArthur headquarters’ internship department is his hunting ground. For those who struggle against this predator, they are forced into horrible situations.

The entire room became quiet. It was very rare to find the intern supervisor in an outwardly furious mood. William saw this coming though. He had fought opponents far more physically capable than Drake. He caught the older man’s fist by the wrist in time before twisting it within his grasp. In the next few seconds, William was now standing behind Drake, with the senior intern’s left hand twisted behind him. “It seems you have forgotten what happened the last time you tried to do this, so I’ll you off with a last warning. The next time you attempt a physical attack against me, I will ensure you spend at least a year in the hospital.” He whispered these words into Drake’s ear, ignoring the man’s groans from the pain of having his arm twisted so brutally, before pushing him away.Drake couldn’t even properly caress his twisted arm, as his right hand was still bandaged. He glared at William from a distance, giving up on trying to physically oppress him. “What the hell did you tell Mrs. Bright.”William sneered at him. “What’s the rush? You’ll find out once we reach the supervisor’s office.”

Time was soon up and all eight interns of the McArthur headquarters found themselves in the supervisor’s office. William and Drake were both seated in the two chairs facing the desk, across from Cordelia Bright. As for the other six, they had no choice but to stand behind them.
