4. Warrick Goes Mad

Aelish worked as a craft service. Her job was to prepare food, drinks, and other necessities for the comfort of the film crew.

Actually, Aelish had what it took to be a producer. She was a top graduate of Film and Television major. But Evie, her stepmother, did not give her a chance because she was the daughter of a mistress.

The film crew often treated Aelish harshly on Evie's orders. Evie did allow Aelish to work at CFT Entertainment, but her real goal was to humiliate Aelish.

"You're ten minutes late," Marvin, the producer, glared furiously at Aelish. "The whole crew is starving because of you!"

Aelish frowned, surprised. She was sure she was not late, but she could guess that Marvin would continue to blame her.

Therefore, she had no choice but to give in. "I'm sorry. There were a lot of people at the restaurant so I was a little late."

"You're useless, just like your husband," mocked Lauren, the production accountant.

The rest of the crew responded to Lauren's words with loud laughter.

"I heard her husband is a useless young master from the Rauveron family. What's his name? Ah, Warrick Rauveron!"

"Warrick is indeed a family disgrace. It's a good thing Sir Ernest has Zayden. He's more useful than Warrick."

"Zayden is also kind. He was the one who begged Sir Ernest to let Warrick work as a salesman."

"The useless young master and the illegitimate daughter. Aren't they a good match?"

Aelish clutched the tray so firmly that her knuckles became white. She could only look down, staring at the corn soup ordered by the producer.

At the beginning of the marriage, Aelish hated Warrick because he made her even more despised by others. But after spending time with Warrick, she came to know that he was not as bad as people made him out to be.

Even though the two of them did not love each other like other married couples, they considered each other friends. Because of this, Aelish would get angry if someone insulted Warrick.

"Hey, why are you so quiet?" Lauren stared at Aelish. "You should be angry that your useless husband is being insulted."

Jasper, the co-producer, gazed at Aelish with contempt. "She's keeping quiet because she can't deny what we're saying. She knows her husband is useless."

Aelish could not do anything since she was afraid of losing her job. She had to put up with all of this humiliation for money.

"Do you enjoy gossiping about me? Well, I can't get mad since I'm that famous."

All the film crew turned to the source of the voice. They had not expected Warrick to come. Instead of being intimidated, they were excited to be able to insult him.

They humiliated Warrick every time he came to pick up Aelish. Nothing happened even though they had offended the son of a powerful family.

That was enough to prove that the Rauveron family had banished Warrick. For this reason, the film crew was not afraid of him.

"Speak of the devil!" Marvin exclaimed with an evil grin. "The useless Young Master we talked about has appeared in front of us. Ladies and gentlemen, give a rousing welcome to our star!"

The film crew clapped their hands with laughter. They were amused by Aelish's angry expression.

As usual, Warrick responded to the film crew's insults with a smile. But this time, he was not going to let them go any further.

"Thank you for the welcome," Warrick spoke in a calm tone. He took a bowl of corn soup from the tray and spilled it into Marvin's face. "Here you go, a corn soup for our great producer!"

Aelish gasped in shock, as did everyone else who witnessed Warrick's crazy act.

"Where's the applause? Aren't you going to encourage our producer?"

Warrick was acting more and more insane. He seemed to have lost his mind.

Aelish set the tray on the table and pulled up Warrick's shirt. With a pale face, she asked, "W-What are you doing?"

"Doing what I should have done a long time ago," Warrick replied fearlessly.

Marvin growled. He was about to slap Warrick, but Warrick quickly caught his wrist.

The film crew screamed in shock as they watched Warrick break Marvin's wrist. Not only that, Warrick also slapped Marvin so many times that the producer's face was unrecognizable.

Aelish could only watch in silence. She should have restrained her husband from creating a bigger problem.

However, this was the first time Aelish had seen Warrick beat up the person who had insulted him. Somehow, she did not want to stop him.

"You better stop!" Jasper, who had been silent, finally spoke up. He looked at Warrick seriously.

Warrick stopped slapping Marvin and threw him to the ground. "Are you impatient to be slapped by me? Be patient. I'll hit the people who offended me one by one."

The film crew shuddered in horror at Warrick's creepy gaze. For a moment, they thought of retreating in fear. That's what would have happened if they had not remembered Warrick was a useless young master.

Lauren looked at Warrick and Aelish. "You seem to think the Rauveron family will help you. But you should know that your father only recognized Zayden. You got your wife into the pit of hell together!"

Everyone, including Aelish, thought Lauren's words would stop Warrick's madness. But they were wrong.

Instead of being scared or threatened, Warrick showed more shocking insanity than ever. He walked up to Lauren.

"What? You want to apologize while kissing my feet?" Lauren giggled for a moment before a hard slap landed on her left cheek.

Jasper glared in fright as two molars popped out of Lauren's mouth. The others could only watch the incident in stillness. They were at a loss for words to comment on Warrick's actions.

"I'm sorry!" Warrick exclaimed, putting on a fake guilty expression. "I sprained my hand and accidentally hit a beautiful innocent girl."

The sanity that bound Warrick was broken. He was completely insane. In society, hitting a woman was considered a grave sin.

But here it was, Warrick. Without hesitation, he slapped Lauren's beautiful face a second time.

Lauren was unable to do anything as she was too horrified and frightened. The extreme pain on her face indicated that Warrick was serious about torturing her.

"Please forgive me again. I sprained my hand for the second time," Warrick uttered in a cold tone.

The film crew spontaneously took a step back. They were well aware that their turn would come after Lauren.

"How dare you hit a girl!" Russel, the Unit Production Manager, grabbed Warrick by the collar of his shirt.

Warrick rolled his eyes. "I told you, I sprained my hand."

"You're a coward for landing your dirty hand on a girl!"

Hearing that, Warrick snatched Russel's wrist and removed it from his collar. Then, he twisted Russel's arm.

"Am I still a wimp now? Ah, I forgot. I'll get the title of a rude person if I offend an old man like you."

A scream of pain escaped Russel's mouth as he felt the bones of his arm wrench. The next second, his cry grew louder as Warrick seriously crushed his arm bone.

Everyone joined in screaming at the sight of Russel's broken arm bone. Russel was a black belt in taekwondo. He could be called a master.

Yet, the damage Warrick had done to Russel's arm was so significant that the master could not fight back.

"He's gone crazy! We'd better secure ourselves first," Jasper advised before sprinting away from the rest area.

The others immediately followed him as they did not want to meet the same fate as Marvin, Lauren, and Russel.

Warrick looked at the fleeing crew, shouting, "Hide properly because if I find you, I swear I'll destroy you!"

He turned to Aelish, who was still in astonishment.

"W-Will you be okay?" Aelish asked fearfully. "You just hit three people from a rich family! I'm sure their families will sue you."

"No need to worry. I won't act without a reason."

Aelish quit talking and followed Warrick peacefully. In the three years she had known Warrick, she had never seen him hit anyone.

She was surprised to learn that Warrick, labeled a weak young master, had extraordinary strength.

"If you're so strong, then why have you kept quiet all this time?" Aelish asked when Warrick handed her a helmet. "I've only known you for three years. But I'm sure you've been humiliated for longer than I know."

Warrick was silent for a moment, thinking back to how people had treated him in the past. Before the car accident, he was respected by everyone.

But he pretended to be weak and stupid after the accident. In addition to fulfilling the system's requirements, he also did that to avoid the enemies.

Whoever caused the accident wanted him dead as well. Thus, he became a useless young master so they would not consider him a threat.

From then on, the attitude of others changed. Warrick no longer got friendly smiles from his servants and friends.

"I wasn't ready to face them all back then. But now I have become strong. Do you believe in this reasoning?"

Aelish took the helmet Warrick had offered her. "Yes, I do."

"Um, Aelish," Warrick took out Aelish's cell phone that he had been keeping. "Did you lose your phone?"

"Huh? How did it get to you? I thought I lost my phone to theft."

"Someone stole your phone?"

Aelish nodded. She looked at Warrick as she explained, "A masked man stole my phone while I was buying food. But how did you get my phone back? And why did you leave work earlier than usual?"

Warrick was sure Aelish would be shocked if she knew that a group of thugs intended to kill him. For now, he would keep the truth from her.

"I found your cell phone lying on the street. It looks like the thief unknowingly dropped it. And about my job, let's talk about that later."

From Warrick's grim expression, Aelish could guess that her husband was having a bad day at work.

"Alright. I'll ask again later. So, where are we going?" asked Aelish after putting the helmet on her head.

Warrick excitedly replied, "Let's go buy clothes for the orphanage kids!"
