These situations weren't uncommon, there were a lot of times disciples got damaged magic treasures, or even half complete cultivation methods and techniques.

It was really unfortunate, the Ancient Treasure Palace only gave specific treasures that match with a disciple's cultivation method or battle style.

The ones that were given useless treasures were just too unlucky to have the Ancient Treasure Palace choose those for them.

"I can't believe Chenguang is so unlucky." One disciple said while shaking his head.

Another disciple commented, "Her talent isn't less than Shen Long, and the fact that she was able to gain a treasure nearly at the same time as him should be enough evidence, but.." That disciple also shook his head before he continued in a sad tone, "...I did not expect her to get a defective treasure, what bad luck!"

As the hundred or so disciples outside of the marker, began lamenting about Chenguang's misfortune, the voice of a disciple suddenly rang out among the crowd.

"Wait!! Everyone look, it's not a defective treasure!!"

Everyone who heard the shout was taken aback as they turn to look at Chenguang.

After the two pairs of circular white disks landed in her hands, they transformed into two pairs of majestic white wings.

Those wings then attached themselves onto her back, and after circulating her Spiritual Qi through them, they began releasing a pressure that was in no way inferior to Shen Long's halberd.

Everyone's eyes suddenly widen in shock.

"It's a support-type treasure!! That's why it had no aura at first!!" A disciple shouted in realization.

Another disciple said, "It's even a supreme-grade flying type support treasure, wasn't it said that Chenguang cultivated the Avian Sect's Legacy Technique, Soaring The Nine Heavens? If this isn't the heavens blessing Chenguang then I don't know what is."

As the wings on Chenguang's back flapped, the winds it produced batted against the faces of the other disciples that were ten meters away from her. Those around her had to get up and move some distance away.

Although she had interrupted their assimilation process, they didn't dare to voice their complaints. They just silently moved further away and start their assimilation all over again.

The youth name Shen Long glance over at Chenguang, who was several meters away from him.

As if sensing his gaze, Chenguang turned to look in his direction.

Both of their gazes clash in mid-air, and to the disciples outside the marker, it seemed as if an explosion suddenly occurred, however, it was only a feeling caused by the palpable tension between them.

These two were well-known geniuses within their respective sects, and possibly the entire Wu Continent.

The competition between geniuses of their level was heated, with them trying to outdo each other in everything they do.

After a while, Shen Long casually looked away, causing the tension that had been building up to dissipate.

The disciples who were in the direct line of their gazes, had cold sweat running down their backs.

When Shen Long finally turned away, they all released a sigh of relief. The tension was so thick, that it could have been cut in two.

Those disciples all thought to themselves that Shen Long and Chenguang were too terrifying, just their gazes alone had been enough to put them on edge.

Shen Long got up and walk away from the Ancient Treasure Palace, with the large halberd casually resting on his shoulder. The image of such a skinny person, carrying that large halberd should have been funny to look at, but with the ease at which he carried it, coupled that with his tyrannical aura, he looked like a tiger that had just received wings.

As soon as Shen Long crossed the marker to the outside, several disciples scramble to enter.

Despite the marker being so huge, it actually had a limit of how many people can enter at once.

The marker also acted as a barrier, so once the total requirement had been reached it would block anyone else from entering.

No matter what anyone tried, whether it was their strongest Daoist Magic or Magic Treasure, they still wouldn't be able to breach the barrier and enter.

After a little scuffle, a disciple was able to enter the barrier. Everyone who was in the scuffle had annoyed looks on their faces, but they soon got over it.

Suddenly, Chenguang had also left from inside the barrier.

After another scuffle, with explosions from Daoist magic echoing out, another lucky disciple was able to enter before anyone else.

Even though the hundred or so disciples wanted to enter, they still had a semblance of order as people who came first were able to enter. The only time they attacked each other, was when some idiot tries and enter before his turn.

This would prompt people to either attack that person for cutting line or use the chaos to try and enter. After someone manages to enter, everything just goes back to normal until someone else tries to cut the line again, starting another round of explosions.

After a couple of minutes, a golden light unlike before suddenly appeared on the sixth floor.

Everyone was blinded by the light, making them all squint to see through it.

Then from the sixth floor, the light condensed into a beam of golden light and shot down towards the final clearing of space that had a young man in it.

This young man looked to be around eighteen or nineteen years old.

He had slick black hair that was tied up behind his head and was dressed in luxurious golden robes that had a flood dragon design on its back.

Unlike the previous two golden beams that stopped before Shen Lon and Chenguang, this beam of light entered the young man's forehead.

Everyone looked on dumbfounded for a moment, before a loud shout suddenly broke the silence.

"Am I seeing things?! Did young master Ling Shui just gain an ancient technique?!!!"

After the voice echoed out, loud exclamations of shock and surprise followed from the crowd of disciples.

They were all practically in hysterics at what they were seeing.

Even Shen Long and Chenguang had turned to look with stupefied expressions on their faces.

Getting a technique from the Ancient Treasure Palace was significantly harder than getting a magic treasure.

No one knew what the requirements were to gain the acknowledgment of the Ancient Treasure Palace and have it present you with a treasure, but people speculated that it had to do with a person's future potential.

Because, even some people who were praised as prodigies in the past, had failed to receive a treasure from the Ancient Treasure Palace. Which could mean that their future potential hadn't reached the requirement to gain the acknowledgment of the Ancient Treasure Palace.

One should know that having immense talent does not equate to having immense potential. It does certainly play a part in the grand scheme of things, but there were numerous other factors that affected a person's potential, such as their luck, or simply their background.

After a disciple assimilating with the Ancient Treasure Palace, it would take all this into account and determine if you're worthy to receive its blessings.

Both Shen Long and Chenguang's potential was extremely high as they were able to obtain supreme-grade magic treasures. There was only a handful in the outside world so they could be considered rare treasures.

However, this young man named Ling Shui was able to obtain an ancient technique from the Ancient Treasure Palace. They didn't know if it was a Daoist Magic or a cultivation method, but from the piercing light that the Ancient Treasure Palace released, and past records, it must be a powerful technique.

Shen Long and Chenguang both stared at Ling Shui with solemn expressions, they absolutely refuse to accept that his potential was higher than their own.

The young man name Ling Shui, who was now the focus of everyone's attention, was glowing with a golden aura as he received the technique from the Ancient Treasure Palace.

With his already golden robes, the golden aura made him look like a child of heaven receiving its blessings.

Another disciple who was close by responded, “From the words young master Ling Shui spoke, this must be the spell he received from the Ancient Treasure Palace.” As soon as that disciple said those words, another disciple quip in a perplexed tone. “But didn’t young master just receive the spell? If I did, then there would have been no point in me cultivating my Tyrannical Demon God body.” Ling Shui frowned upon hearing that.
