Chapter 3

"Young master." Three strange men advanced slowly towards him with a slight bow while he continued to stare with the expression on his face flooded with so much confusion.

Rain dripped down slowly from the sky wetting his skin.

They all wore dark classic suits coupled with their dark shades and they didn't even seem to be worried about the rain patting their skin even though they seemed to be heavily rich.

Confusion coated his mind, thinking that he might have heard wrong because there was no way that could be possible.

"Young master?" He repeated moving backwards a little bit because he sensed that they were going to hurt him.

"Yes, young master." The firmly built but older man came from behind walking closer towards him.

"We have been searching for you for quite a while now." He noted.

Adrenaline flooded into his bloodstream, waiting for a fight or flight mode action while he continued to watch every single move of their gazes.

"Searching for me? What are you talking about?" His face twisted.

"Young master. I know that you are not going to understand but you will have to come with us and we are going to explain everything to you." He noted.

But even though the voice of the stranger was calm and alluring, he stood his group. Thoughts ran through his mind.

The money, the strange cars and now a group of people calling someone as worthless as he is a young master. It was beginning to make a lot of sense in his head.

There had been recent cases of organ harvesters lately and their thoughts revolved around being a victim.

"That's all they always sound like. Genuine." He said to himself while he continued to pull backwards slowly.

"The money is related to you isn't it?" He noted.

"Just come with us Young Master and everything is going to be explained."

The fact that they decided not to answer his inquiry just gave them away.

He felt the pocket knife that he always had in his pocket and he was relieved to realize that he still had it with him as he jerked it off, pointing it towards the men and moving backwards slowly.

"What are you doing young master?" The old man inquired calmly while he continued to watch his movements steadily.

"You think that I don't know who you guys are? Like the squid game isn't it? You people go around looking for prey to get their organs right? I might be poor, useless, and whatever you decide to add but I am not that stupid to fall for all these tricks." His eyes glanced around right into their eyes to make sure that no one was moving and looking for an opportunity for him to run away from the place at the same time.

"Young master. You will have to put down that knife."

"Don't make me use it and we will be cool." He noted once again.

Seeing that there was nothing that he could do now to persuade Andrew, the old man nodded his head to the other men, knowing that there was only one way now to get him to come with them.

The man walked towards him, slowly but steadily, keeping track of his every movement.

"What are you trying to do? Stop right there right this minute or I will have to use this." He threatened.

"I am sorry young master that I have to do this but you will have to forgive me in the future." He placed a glass cover over his face and beckoned behind

Andrew's eyes popped out from his eye socket almost immediately knowing what they were going to do to him next.

But before he could do anything about it, the gas had already been spilled into the air. He tried to hold his breath but he knew already that there was no way that he would be able to do that for long as he was soon plugged into unconsciousness.

....

Andrew's eyes parted open slowly. The atmosphere all around him screams strange. His eyes met with the stunning ceilings.

He tried to recall what had happened before and he finally jumped up from the floor realizing what had happened

"You are finally awake." He heard a voice from behind and he turned around swiftly.

He caught a glance of a young man with the perfect set of teeth revealed through his stunning smile.

And even though he was not overly dressed, he could tell from his gold jewelry that he was rich and his classic scent.

But that didn't matter to him as he knew that his life was in trouble in the death den.

"Who are you and what do you want from me?" He inquired searching through his pockets for his knife but he was no longer there.

The man watched him closely with amusement and he finally decided to speak up.

"It's not there. You didn't think that I was going to allow them to leave it with you did you." He noted making Andrew r stop what he was doing.

"And that takes me back to the question. What do you want from me?" His voice was firm.

"Son.. I am sorry that we have to meet this way." He revealed.

"Son?" He fell backwards almost immediately as flashes of the past sped off through his head

"I want to be part of your life once again. I'm sorry for everything that has happened to you in the past. I hate it and I wasn't there."

"You are not my father, he died a long time ago." He noted further trying to believe the lie that he had always believed all those while.

"And the striking resemblance." The man noted.

He could not help but notice it. The height, the eyes, and the face. And his heart too, telling him that was his father... The man who had impregnated his mother and chased her away, causing her to get married to someone else.

The reason that he had always been tagged a bastard right from the point that he was born. The cause of all his problems.

"Yes Andrew, I am James Roger, your biological father."

A stream of adrenaline flushed through his bloodstream as he clutched his hands with so much hate and anger.

Flashes of the past stormed into his head almost immediately.

The humiliation that he had faced all these while, it has been because of him.

His mother told him everything about it. He had taken advantage of her during a night club and she got pregnant with him.

And he didn't only stop there, he denied the child, driving Andrew's mother away.

His grip clutched harder as more memories flashed into his mind. And after that, she got married to his step father who treated him like trash and a slave, refusing him formal education until he had to run away from home and find his life.

And the cause of all this thinking that he could just show up out of the blues?

"Don't come any closer to me. After what you did to my mother, taking advantage of her and chasing her away, you still have the guts to come for me?

You aren't my father. It would be better for me not to have a father than to have you as my father." He yelled, revealing the lines on his vines.

"I did take advantage of her because I was drunk. But then I never chased her away. She never wanted anything to do with me and that was the reason. I tried to plead with her, I was ready to take care of her but she would not have anything to do with me."

"And why should I believe you?" He noted.

He touched the chain that he wore on his neck. It was similar to the same that his mother had given him.

"Don't doesn't say anything."

"It tells a lot. And I am sorry. I need you back Andrew."

"And why would that be?" Andrew replied.

"It dates back to when I first met your mother. Then I wasn't wealthy and I was ready to take responsibility so she left me.

I am old and you are my only heir. I have searched for you and was finally able to find you because of your bank account."

"I have been tracking you for so many years now."

"And I only opened that because of a loan."

He kept staring at his father without spitting out a single word from his mouth.

It seemed as though a major percent of his anger had been washed away and right now, he was left on the fence on the decision that he should be making.

Either to come back to his father whom he had always hated right from the time that he was young or return to his once miserable life.

"Andrew, I know this is difficult for you after everything that you must have heard about me and I promise you that I am going to make up for every single one of it." He noted.

He thought about it for a while. There was certainly no place that he could rest his head, there was no essence in judging someone based on assumptions and besides, he had never been given a chance all his life, and treating other people that same way would only mean that he is no way better than them.

And the eyes of his mother whenever she told her story it was always shaky and sometimes made him think that she was hiding something from him.

Could this be it?

"Okie... I will give it a trial."

His father came toward him and gave him a warm embrace.

"Thank you for giving me a new life." He appreciated him. The first time anyone has done that since he was done.

His father pulled away from him and clapped his hands slightly.

The door parted open almost immediately a few guards walked into the place.

Specifically, one of them had a large white box in his hands.

"Young master." The servant that brought the box bowed slightly before him.

Andrew's head shifted towards his father and the only thing that he got was an affirmative nod.

His eyes returned to the box and he began to tear it apart.

Inside it held a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and some other Jewelry. He was amazed by the sight that stood before him as he had never touched anything that expensive all his life.

"Father, you did not have to do.." He was about to say but his father brought his speech to a sudden halt.

"You are Worth everything in there." His father smiled at him.

"And I think that you forgot to pick out something from the box." His father revealed.

He was a little bit confused as he thought that he had taken out everything but he did not argue with his father.

His eyes popped back into the box and he finally found it, an ultra-slim card as he would call it. White and smooth.

"What is this father.." He finally said though the words seemed heavy on his lips but his Father liked it.

"A white platinum card. Every member of the family has black platinum but as the heir, I think that you should get something distinguished. And that is an ultrasound too." He noted.

His eyes popped out of his sockets. From what he knew an ordinary platinum held over a million dollars and only one family could access the black platinum.
