CHAPTER 8

"How dare these fools throw us out like beggars?" Jeremy sparked while dusting his cloth from dirts.

Emily, who was in her mother's hold, kept her gaze right at the large mansion of the late Don Pablo, which now belongs to her ex husband, Savador.

Her hand tightening into a fist. Recurring what Savador said to her right inside the mansion.

She felt annoyed with the treatment she got from Savador. To her, it wasn't right.

"After everything I did for him. After all the support I gave to him in the past two months, he chose to treat his own wife like a stranger? " Emily sparked out. Moving her mother's arms off her body.

Her mother, Mrs Sanandrian, moved closer to her daughter, despite the fact that Emily didn't want her patting or holding her.

"Don't worry my girl. He can't stay angry with you forever. He will surely come back for you. Just have faith, " Mrs Sanandrian assured her daughter.

"Yes my girl. Have faith and see how that lovely man will return back into your arms. He's just angry for now. He'll be calm soon and come to you, " Mr Sanandrian backed his wife. Also assuring his daughter that Savador will come for her.

Jeremy too supported them. Reminding Emily that she's Savador's wife.

"He's a guy like me. He can't stay mad with the woman he loves forever," Jeremy added.

"Waw! How fascinating!" Carlos exclaimed from his point, which was a bit close to Jeremy.

The Sanandrians had forgotten that Carlos was present with them. They were blinded by their greed and the sudden twist of event that occurred before their eyes, that they forgot Carlos was thrown out of his grandfather's mansion as well.

"The great and wealthy Sanandrians and their daughter, Emily. Stood by my side all these while, but switched places the moment my right was taken from me and given to a runt. How fascinating indeed, " Carlos said. Clapping his hands for them.

Emily and her family couldn't look at him right in the eyes. They kept hovering their gaze around without looking at him.

"What happened to the people that had my back some minutes ago? Where did they disappear to? " Carlos questioned them. Getting angrier by the minute.

Seeing how upset he is, Mr Sanandrian cleared his throat and said, " Look Carlos. We can understand how you're feeling at this point and we are sorry about it. But you yourself can't deny what you saw in that file. That young man is your cousin, whom you thought was dead a long time ago. He's now the owner of Don Pablo's empire. "

"And you two are related. At least you should be happy that your cousin is alive. You now have someone to call your brother. I'm sure you two will go well, if you try to speak with Savador," Mrs Sanandrian said, moving next to her husband. Telling Carlos about how soft hearted Savador is.

"We have come to know how loving Savador is in these two months. Emily will tell you the same thing. He's kind hearted and will surely consider his own blood. "

"Yeah," Jeremy supported.

Hearing them speak about Savador sweetly, Carlos swayed his head disappointingly at the Sanandrians.

"You Sanandrians are a bunch of fools," He insulted them. Leaving them astonished by his insult.

"Hypocrites! Cowards! That's what you all are. "

"Carlos, shut up! Don't you dare insult my family over your own misfortune. They are trying to help and you are insulting them. Take back that foul language of yours, " Emily roared at him straight off.

Carlos gazed at her in amusement. This is the first time Emily will ever raise her voice at him or speak back to him with no respect.

Her action left Carlos astonished, that he couldn't help but chuckle out in amazement.

"Emily... You just told me to shut up? Me, Carlos Montreal? I should shut up? " Carlos pointed at himself.

Emily rolled her eyes at him, acting like she didn't hear him speaking.

"Waw! How interesting. I should have seen this coming. After the drama you displayed inside, I should have seen your next move from there, "Carlos said, pointing at her.

"Both you and your family are nothing but traitors. In fact, you are the queen of the traitors, Emily. A backstabbing bitch! "

"Don't you dare insult my daughter!" Mr Sanandrian raised his voice at Carlos.

"You better mind what you say to us boy. We are the Sanandrians. Don't think because we are following and being friendly with you, we are stupid to allow a small child like yourself insult us. " Mrs Sanandrian said, glaring at Carlos.

Jeremy stood next to his family. Holding Emily close before throwing his furious words at Carlos. "Just because we were thrown out of the mansion along with you, doesn't mean we've lost our pride too, " Jeremy pointed out.

That statement made Carlos heart skitter at once.

Mrs Sanandrian chuckled while her husband smiled when Jeremy made that statement.

"Exactly the point my son. His own grandfather didn't even think about him as someone fit to handle his empire. That's why he went in search of his true heir, our Savador, " Mr Sanandrian proudly said, with his shoulder lifting high.

Carlos' eyes widened at the words that came out from both Jeremy and Mr Sanandrian's mouth. It felt like a slap to him.

Mrs Sanandrian added spice to her husband's words. "You are the one who's the back stabber and a liar here, Carlos. You promised our dear daughter a life of luxury, when you know quite well you weren't in good terms with your grandfather."

"My grandfather and I were never fighting! You know nothing!" Carlos defended himself.

"Then why are you here? Why isn't your name in the will like you bragged to us? " Mrs Sanandrian questioned Carlos.

Carlos found himself unable to speak back at Mrs Sanandrian's question. He too couldn't understand how things changed without him noticing it.

"You have deceived our family and you dare to open that mouth of yours to insult us? " Mrs Sanandrian scowled at Carlos. Scoffing and crossing her arms with pride.

"I bet he knew that Savador was his cousin all these while, but he chose to hide it from us and deceive Emily to play his stupid game, " Jeremy pointed out.

That statement got Carlos mad. He angrily rushed towards Jeremy and grabbed him by the collar.

"Hey! Get your hands off me! " Jeremy yelled, trying to push Carlos away. But Carlos didn't budge.

He held Jeremy and served him straight with a punch to the face. Causing Emily and her parents to scream at his action.

"Carlos!" Emily screamed out. Grabbing Carlos from behind, while I parents grabbed him from the front.

"What do you know, huh?! Repeat what you just said you asshole! " Carlos roared at Jeremy. Dragging him close for another punch.

Only for him to be pushed back by Mr and Mrs Sanandrian, and served with a punch back from Jeremy.

Carlos staggered away from them with his hand holding his face. He groaned and attempted to fight back.

That's when Emily turned Carlos over and slapped him hard across the face. Shocking the young man in split seconds.

"Stay away from my brother you animal," Emily insulted Carlos.

Still in shock, Carlos lifted his eyes to the woman he called his lover, and found her glaring at him in rage.

At this moment, Carlos could understand how Savador felt when Emily slapped and insulted him. It felt like a dagger had pierced right into his chest.

"Emily," He called her name.

"Jeremy isn't wrong at all. You knew Savador's true identity all these while. That explains the intense hatred towards him. You knew and decided to use me for your dirty game!" Emily pushed Carlos with force.

Carlos moved back from Emily when she pushed him. Now he could see the faces of the ones who once backed him, now against him.

"By now, I would have been in the arms of my husband, celebrating our new found life together. But you ruined it all! "

"I knew nothing about that fool! Don't forget that you contributed the most to it, Emily," Carlos pointed out. Reminding Emily of her role in making Savador's life a living hell.

"I never knew that the bastard was related to me. If I had known then, do you think I'll allow a whore like yourself to get anywhere near him?" Carlos scoffed.

Emily and her family gasped at Carlos' words, mostly Emily.

"My daughter is not a whore! " Mr Sanandrian sparked.

"Are you sure? If you say she isn't, then why did she accept my challenge when I included the sum of ten million dollars as the price?" Carlos questioned them.

His words made Emily mad. She groaned at Carlos, as he continued to insult her. Calling her names, like the worst human being on earth.

"She's a terrible lady. She didn't hesitate to marry that beggar when she heard the reward. She greedily married him. And you say I'm a deceiver. Your daughter is the ultimate deceiver."

"Enough, Carlos! " Emily roared.

Their disturbance attracts the guards at once. They came back to the gate and ordered them to leave or be thrown into the bushes.

"We can't leave without our car. At least let us have it, " Mr Sanandrian said to the guards.

They agreed to let them take the car. But only one person can step in to get it.

Seeing that the guards won't let them all in, Mr and Mrs Sanandrian sent Jeremy to get the car.

"If you are chanced to see Savador, tell him that we love him, and that his wife is still here, " Mrs Sanandrian said to Jeremy while he was going through the gate.

Carlos rolled his eyes at them. He faced the guards and said, "Let me get my car then, since you guys have decided to treat me like a trash can. "

He moved closer to the gate, but was pushed back by one of the guards. Causing Carlos to glare at them and demand a reason to their action.

"You allowed him to move in and get his. What about me? "

"We can't allow you inside Sir. Mr Rosario has ordered us not to allow you to touch any of his property," One of the guards reported.

"What nonsense?! That's my car! He has no right over my car!" Carlos yelled at them.

Emily, who is watching this, can't help but smirk at Carlos mockingly. She looked at the large mansion right inside and thought of Savador.

"A Trillionaire. I've been married to Don Pablo's heir and didn't realize it. I can't allow Savador to dump me. I'm his wife, " She stamped, still staring at the mansion.

Just then, Jeremy drives out with the family's car and they all get in.

Carlos, who stood there arguing with the guards, sees Emily and her family staring at him from inside their vehicle.

Mockingly, Mrs Sanandrain asked Emily if they should carry him along. "Now that he has nowhere to go, should we help him? "

"Absolutely not. The Sanandrains don't help low class people," Emily responded. Winding the window shut.

The Sanandrains drove away, leaving Carlos alone.

Carlos watched them leave. He turned to face the guards, who had already locked him back outside. Preventing him from coming in.

He glared at the mansion, which used to be his home, and recurred his time with his grandfather.

Rage filled his heart, when the words of the lawyer, Emily, her family, and Savador, rang in his head. Talking about his grandfather, Don Pablo, and how he willed everything to Savador.

That planted so much hate in Carlos' heart.

"Grandfather, I hate you. I hope you rot in hell, you old fool, " Carlos cursed.
