Later in the evening Eric and some other survivors were all busy constructing a plank used to cover up the windows of the hotel.
“Do you think this would keep whatever is out there away?” Eric asked with skepticism to Devian after building the plank.Devian was leaning against the side of the wooden board with his arms crossed over his chest. He shrugged before replying, “I don't know, but we should try. There has to be another way. Besides, what choice do we have?" Eric shifted his gaze to the receptionist holding a little cross while whispering and praying. A couple of police officers were watching over him.“I will be back,” he said as he approached one of the receptionists, who stops working when Eric approaches. “Hello miss," he said on his arrival before the receptionist answered him.“Sir, can I help you?” the woman asked, smiling at him while holding up her sign.“Do you have a place I can charge my phone?” “Huh? yes ” she answered after rolling her eyes.“Great, I would like to charge it now please” he answered back. She looked at him for a moment with a bored expression before responding “You just go through that hallway you find the door to the basement. There you will find a place”Eric thanked her before turning around to start walking away with the phone in his hand.As he walked he noticed the light all dying out slowly around him.“What the fuck is going on?” Eric asked himself but heard no reply. He opened the heavy basement door, seeing everything dark and blurry. It took him some time, but he finally found the room. As he enters the large room it gets even colder than outside. Finally, he comes in contact with a charging spot where he kneels hurriedly and charges his phone. When he finally turned it on, the notification on the display made him jump up from the cold floor to grab his phone. After the notification disappeared from his phone screen, immediately after a video call enters. It was a clown face, smiling brightly at him. Eric stares at it with wide eyes while feeling extremely frightened by this sudden encounter. Suddenly, a loud screeching noise comes out of the clown's mouth, followed by loud laughter echoing in his ear.The clown laughs louder and harder making Eric even more terrified than he already was. He throws aside his phone rushing towards the basement door which already banged closed behind him. He slams his body on the door, trying to open it, but it was locked from the outside.Suddenly the town alarm goes on, as the night began to fall fast, bringing darkness to this abandoned city.Inside the Hotel, all of the others looked around in wonder. While watching the darkness take over the town, then everywhere all turned quite like a graveyard.Eric, in the meantime, was laying on his back on the dirty ground. His head rested on a piece of wood that was laying beside him, and he could feel that he had lost consciousness. He looks around the dusty town with his eyes closed. The last thing he remembers hearing was the bell ring loudly as a warning signal of the approaching danger, but the bells didn't stop ringing.Eric opens his eyes and finds himself on the floor. The sun was still shining brightly outside. Looking back into the hotel room, he sees Devian talking with Devon.Looking at Devian, Eric realizes the latter is looking at a window. Eric follows his direction and notices the same blackness as before covering the streets with darkness, except for the buildings of the town that was still lit up. Then suddenly the world around him begins to change. Instead of being in the same dusty town with its same grey and dirty sky, he now stands in a grassy clearing that is covered in white clouds. Then Eric realizes that the sun is setting, and with that realization, he starts running, ignoring the fear that suddenly fills him.He runs through the field while looking forward to the sight of houses that lay ahead. But he keeps moving further and further without realizing that the street is getting smaller and shorter. Soon enough, Eric stops running and turns around. The field is nothing anymore but a barren patch of soil with trees surrounding it.His heart beats faster with every second, he tries to move in any direction, hoping he would get some kind of clue, or anything at all to prove that he was wrong. That this field is the city of New York. But he kept walking and walking with the growing distance between him and that field, his mind becoming more and more blank, and filled with fear instead. When the field was no longer visible to him, Eric stopped and started to breathee heavily. After a little while, he starts walking again. Looking around him, he saw a large building on his right, a building that he was th. Walking inside the building, he was shocked at its size of it.Eric stepped into the lobby of the big hall. The lobby had glass windows covering each end of the hall. There he sees dozens of people standing in line waiting patiently for something.Eric moves forward until a lady calls out for him from the end of the line.“Eric!” she says waving at him “Come here”Eric looks at the people ahead of him in confusion. He walks toward her with confusion written all over his face.“How many are left? How many were there? What did you guys hear? Are any of them still alive? Do you know where everyone else is?” she asked him quickly and urgently.Eric just stared at her dumbfounded, his thoughts completely blank. Eventually, he shook his head no.She looks at him sadly for a moment before she speaks again “Okay, well, you need to check the basement”“Hm? basement? basement? Where did you hear about that? Why am I going there? Did you say basement? Is it the basement in front of us? How do you know that? Why is nobody telling me what is happening? Who are you? Why am I in here? Why are there so many people in the basement?!”she held her hands up defensively in an attempt to calm him down, “okay, okay...calm down. Take some deep breaths and listen” She said to him calmly.Eric calmed down slightly and did as she said and waited for her to continue “Okay, so I know this must be confusing. Just remember that this isn't our first time traveling somewhere else, I'm sure we will get the answers we want sooner rather than later”“So how long is earlier? Can I ask?” Eric replied curiously. She let out a small sigh and smiled slightly, “We came here yesterday night. We went to sleep and woke up today at 4 pm. This morning when I got up early, I decided to come with you to get more information,” she explained and Eric thought she sounded That's good,” he said smiling back at her. He didn't expect her answer, but he was happy to have someone he knows and trusts nearby, “So why are we here?”“Oh yeah sorry about that,” she said as she scratched her forehead embarrassed “we didn't want to tell you that because it doesn't add too much importance to your situation here. Well, we have never been to that part of the village before, which is not exactly very far. So we decided to visit there”“Why the sudden change of scenery? And how is your head feeling? Does anything hurt?”“No, I'm fine thanks. Everything seems fine. And if it was my brain that needed the rest, it wouldn't be so bad. The head hurts because...because I have no idea why...” Eric couldn't finish his sentence without bursting into tears.“Hey, hey look,” she said taking Eric's shoulders lightly iit's’s alright,”Eric looked at her confused “But why? Why did I have to come here? It feels so strange...so unreal…” he muttered quietly. She sighed sadly while shaking her head “you know Eric, I can only guess what happened, I don't know anything else about that time other than that we had a lot of troubles and we had to run and hide. But you are not alone here, it will not always be like this”Eric just stared at her for a while, still feeling uneasy, before he spoke again “So if I wanted to talk to someone who knows a lot about that time, who would I try to talk to?”He watched her face carefully.“I have to think about that one,” she answered him slowly, “but I don't think you are that person”“So you know where to find me then? You're sure you're not mistaken?” he questioned looking into her eyes while raising his eyebrow slightly.“Yes. If that’s what happened then that person will show up soon” she answered confidently, “but until that happens, you should try to stay calm and not think too much, okay?”Eric nodded silently.Suddenly Eric is drawn back by an unseen force appearing before a cemetery gate with the all-sky dark with twinkling stars and a moon. Everyone was starting to look like a hallucination, as he stared at the gate. The gate opens by itself, and Eric walks inside looking at the gravestones and the names carved on the tombstone. Then he noticed a leaf blown unto a tombstone. He picks it up and reads the name on it ‘Sandra’His heart starts beating faster because the name Sandra meant something very important to him. But he doesn’t want to let anyone know that it means anything. Suddenly he looks back to see a figure dressed in white cloth with her eyes gone and blood spilled across her swollen tummy. She reaches her hands out towards him and smiles showing the same bloody teeth she always did before. Her lips move while she speaks with an angry tone.“You told me you will be with me forever,” She asks him, “You need to stay here,” she points towards a grave next to hersEric turns ar
Sean runs out of the place while looking back and hears Goldberg scream followed by the roar of the creature. He runs through the forest trying to get away from it.He finally makes it to a lonely road, turning to see the creature rushing towards him. He turns around and starts to run. His clothes are torn and wet, and his hair sticks to his forehead. He runs as fast as he can. The creature behind him is gaining speed.Sean looks behind and sees nothing.he thinks as he continues running until he stops when suddenly there is a sharp pain in the center of his chest. He gasps, feeling as if someone is tearing out his lungs. He falls to the ground, screaming in pain. The pain goes away for a second and his vision clears. His eyes widen in horror as he realizes that he is lying in a pool of blood. He doesn't even know where the blood came from or how much has been lost by the creature. Blood covers both him and the road he is lying on.Slowly he lifts himself and sees another pool of bloo
He continues to walk until he feels a cold breeze hit his skin. He looks ahead. There is nothing.“Stop!” a voice shouts from the darkness.Sean turns around. There is nobody. Just emptiness surrounding him. A sudden rush of wind hits him causing him to stumble to the floor. He quickly stands up and looks at where the wind came from. He hears shuffling, moving, and something else. He turns around. There is a silhouette in the darkness just a few feet away. Its arms and legs are shaking. It seems to be struggling. Sean's mouth drops open as he recognizes what it is. He runs back over to the door, slamming it shut behind him just in time as he watches the creature jump through the opening. It lands with a thud, scratching the floor before it quickly gets up and runs toward him.Sean grabs the handle, preparing himself to open it once more, as the monster reaches for him. However, before the monster could grab him, he hears a crash from above. He looks back to see the monster being pus
The next morning the whole town was just recovering from the chaos of last night. Eric is seen walking down the street with his bag while holding his camera. “I need to find the truth,” he whispers to himself while walking. He continues his pace with his recorder while trying to film everything he's going to see. He couldn't see properly because of the morning Mist covering the whole town. He kept getting distracted every time the wind blew through the village. After several minutes of walking, Eric finally sees what's supposed to be his first stop of the day: the cemetery.Eric enters the graveyard and looks around for some kind of clue. He picks up a small rock and throws it in the direction of the graves, hoping to see one of them move. All he did was make the rock bounce off their headstone. After a while of walking and talking to the tombstones, Eric finally found something. He pulls back the sleeve of his jacket revealing a small stone tablet. He holds up his camera to
Meanwhile, Devian was on his way to check on the sheriff at the station, on getting to the entrance far away he sighted the sheriff tiptoeing away from the station. Watching his surrounding while he made his way to wherever he was going. “What is he hiding? and where is he going?" Devian thought. “Maybe something's wrong at the station” Devian decides to follow him and see if he found out anything about what he was investigating. He stopped in the middle of a wooden house in the middle of the forest, the Sheriff looks to see if he was alone before proceeding into the house. “Something is dirty, I need to find out what the sheriff is up to" Devian whispers to himself. “Or do I call the other first?” “Why can't he just come out and ask?” Devian asks himself while shaking his head. “I'm just being paranoid again...”Devian approaches the door cautiously and listens for any signs of movement inside the house. He hears nothing. He places his fingers against the knob slowl
The room was also occupied by broken toys but it looked different from the rest. In the center of the room, standing right in the middle of the floor, was a small doll with the same outfit the sheriff wore. Its arms had been cut off at the elbows. Eric continues to study the room, observing every little detail. Then he notices a small table near the doll's feet covered in a cloth. He walks over to it and sees a piece of newspaper lying on top of the cloth, with the headline written in red ink:BANGED UP DOLL IN BEDROOM Eric picks up the piece of paper and opens it. The headline read:BANGED UP DOLL IN BEDROOM (DOUBLE BLOW) He reads the article further until he finds the words he was searching for.“That damn Sheriff was the culprit!” he shouts aloud. “It must be some sort of revenge killing spree on Halloween"Eric rushes back downstairs after finishing reading the article, not wanting to miss any clue that will lead them to the Sheriff’s location.Eric enters the foyer with the sa
Meanwhile back at the hotel, Jack willy is also trapped with the passengers In Scarville. Jack decides to stroll around the hotel's perimeter first heading to the Receptionist's table. “Sorry ma'am,” he says to the receptionist who kept whispering as she kept praying. “What do you want?" the receptionist asked him. Jack pulls a crumpled piece of paper out of one of the pockets on his jacket and shows it to her. He hands her the paper and waits for her reaction. She studies the paper for a second, seeming to have mixed feelings about the message of the paper. After several moments pass, she gives a short nod and says, “Okay… this place can be found behind the church” Before going back outside, Jack makes sure to ask her something else. “Excuse me, could you tell me where that place is?”The receptionist stares at him and nods again, “Follow this road to the left and turn left there after two minutes. You'll see that building right away” she adds.Jack nods and proceeds to thank the
Eric replied Jack, “Why ask?” “I saw her...in my dream,” Jack says with fear in his voice. “There she was, running across the streets with blood dripping down her face. She said it would be our fate too.” He turns to face us and we have never seen him so fearful or distraught before. “What?” Eric asked with fear, “Can you care to share more?” asked Jack sighed before speaking out, “She had this locket with her while she was running until everything vanished" he added. “What locket?” Eric asked while rushing to his laptop to show the pic of a locket he found in the Mayor's attic. “You mean like this one here?” he asked and showed Jack the photo on his computer. Jack looked at the photo with terror and shook, not looking away for many seconds before saying, “That's the locket I'm talking about, a mother's necklace given to a daughter. that she has since before she passed away.” The fear was gone but something else replaced the sadness. Jack turned to us and said
