A JOB

Derek poured out the smoke in his mouth with bitter pain evidence on his face. Sophia, Alex and Richard all bowed their heads as he unleashed his anger.

“So… you all wanna tell me you had no idea Byron was Miller Guidotti?!” He barked breathlessly. What a nice way to be surprised. He laughed out loud at the thought of being fooled by a person like Byron.

He had always thought there was more to Miller Guidotti for not always showing up even on important meetings, aside from the fact that he prefers being emailed than receiving a call.

Though whenever he calls, Miller Guidotti's voice was far different from the Byron's voice he was used to. He believed Byron must have used a settings on his phone to fool him with a different voice.

‘Smart.’ He thought with a frown.

Sophia and the rest shook their heads in fear. “Personally, I had no idea at all. I promise, Derek.”

“None of us were aware.”

“I would have been the first to let you know if I was, Derek.”
