CHAPTER 218

With a white scarf covering the neck, Rebecca went to her lawyer Sheila who wasn’t taking any clients right now, but after hearing it was Rebecca, she told the watchman to let her in.

Sheila had somewhat of a cold look on the face as Rebecca entered, and Sheila didn’t seem interested in a handshake, let alone a hug. It didn’t bother Rebecca that much because Sheila had been that way since as far as she could remember. Whether she was showing off because she was a lawyer or because she felt the need to do things like that to feel like she was equal or superior to her friend, Rebecca could only wonder, though she honestly didn’t care. Everybody had their ugly side, after all.

“What brought you here, Rebecca?” Sheila asked, her voice laced with impatience. “The company itself is gone, so there’s nothing we can do. I can’t return the money you gave me, either. You should already know that.”

“I’m not here for the money, but for filing a new case,” Rebecca then explained about the incident
