Ch 14: After 10 years the day comes

"I do not understand why you must put yourself in doing this leaving home to find him."

"Because it was the right thing to do, mother, what happened to him wasn't his fault."

"No one has ever said that, but there was no risk of allowing that young boy to stay. The nature of a cursed dragon is unstable that no one could foresee when that madness would be unleashed."

"It doesn't matter what you say now, mother. I am not going to stop what I have been planning these past 10 years."

Location of the wood elf queen throne where only two wood elves are there.

One is the queen sitting on the throne and the other is Naruth, daughter of the queen.

The two have entered into a conversation that has been discussed over time in the ten years gone by.

This comes to happen again one more time only because Naruth is leaving on this day.

On a day like this, her mother is trying to talk the young girl into not leaving to find Ethons.

The queen holds no ill feelings for that elf boy and would love nothing more for him to come to his home and people.

Yet being someone who bears the soul of a dragon a chance of that will never come to be.

"I have no desire to stop you given the determination of strong will in noting giving up. I learned to respect that by talking about this with you again Naruth is to hope that there is an understanding that there won't be a change on what has been decided in our home."

"I know and that is why I will not only find him but seek a way in helping to remove the dragon soul out of him."

Naruth says that will full hope in believing to be a true possibility. Her mother on the other hand could not share the same feelings.

"Once a dragon soul has been part of a being body it can not be torn off from the host when now as one."

"It can not mean…."

"Even if there is a way the host of that dragon soul will die."

Hearing her mother say that makes Naruth concerned as this is the first to be mentioned.

"What do you mean mother?"

"I did not want you to know this to bring further pain, but it is true if the dragon soul were to be removed somehow then the one who carried it would no longer be alive.”

Being told of this now brings problems to the plan Naruth has been working on these ten years.

Regardless, she still wants to go through with it, starting with finding Ethons when they meet again after the times pass, then the next steps will be fingering out together at the moment.

“Well it is not going to stop me mother because we’re going to find a way besides, I think it's time our talk ends.”

Naruth turns around to where the queen faces looking upon her daughter's back as the girl takes a few steps forward.

“Are you going to tell him about his father Naruth?”

“I did have that in mind, just not sure if it should be me to tell him or be your mother when we solved the problem and Ethons could come back home.”

The queen doesn't say another word. It seems there was no more point to it watching her daughter leaving this elf woman to deal with her thoughts about all this.

Naruth walks back to the village of her people as they look at the girl and go directly to one place in mind before completely leaving.

Everyone there knew or could tell that their queen daughter was going on a useless journey to bring someone back who can no longer be a part of it.

No one is going to stand in her way from doing this, but when coming back that is a different story.

She needed and wanted to see them one more time Ethons family said goodbye to them.

Arriving Naruth knocks on the door waiting for whoever opens it when taking a few seconds to see the one opening that same door to be Ethons sister Adneun.

“Naruth oh how good it is to see.”

“You too Adneun.”

Both went in to hang each other tightly for about a good long minute until breaking it off.

Adneun takes a single step back getting a good look at Naruth where the brown hair grows out long to be tied up in a ponytail style. Her eyes were hazel colored, her skin was tan and tall along with a busty build.

“Having seen each other every time, I always seem to be shocked at how much you have grown.”

“Thanks, it's nice to hear that from you, I take it you could get the reason for me being here.”

“So today is that day, you're going to leave the village to search for Ethons.”

Naruth took notice of the way her tone just sounded right at that moment there was no doubt something of a problem.

“Adneun what the matter is there something bothering you.”

“Well Naruth, are you sure you want to do this?”

“What are you saying, don't you want to see your brother again after being away for so long.

“Of course! I want nothing more than to see him again, but it's just ....”

Adneun stops talking, taking a minute to herself and then speaking again to Naruth.

“10 years went by fast and there was no way to tell what he was doing right now or if he was alive or dead.”

“Ethons is alive, don't you remember he was taken when alive and I don’t think anything else on that.”

“Even so Naruth, he can’t come back here, what exactly do you have in…..

“Come on Adneun, I don’t want to have this talk with you, I need you to be on my side about this not against it.”

Adneun signs, realizing that Naruth has a point as the girl is willing to leave home fighting against everything to bring Ethons back.

“You're right, I am on your side on this, and if you need help know that I am there.”

“Happy to hear about your other brothers here, I would like to say goodbyes to them too.”

“Sadly they are not keeping themselves busy after what happened that day.”

“I see  then what about your mother is she in a healthy mood to speak with me.”

Adneun stepped to the side opening the door further allowing Naruth to enter and follow behind the Ethons sister when the door was closed and her heading to a room.

She didn’t open the door right away knocking first and speaking.

“Mother Naruth is here, would it be alright for her to come in to talk with you before she leaves.”

Salients were all that there were as the two looked at each other thinking that Adneun may not be up for it.

“Let her in '' Hearing that Adneun opens the door letting only Naruth enter as it is right since both will need privacy.

Once inside the room, she saw this elf woman sitting up on the bed looking through the window at the clear view of the sky and everything else to be seen.

“Naruth, please don’t stand there, come over here, so I can take a better look at you.”
