CHAPTER FOURTEEN

ADRIAN POINT OF VIEW

"I will be there, father." I said, softly.

"You have to start coming now, we don't have much time left." My father yelled.

"Okay." I said before ending the call. I took in a deep breath trying to calm my nerves. My father called me so early that he needed me to come home, that something needed my serious attention.

I was nervous a bit, because I didn't know how to ask Mr Ashton for an excuse. I ran my hand through my hair, trying to collect my thoughts. My father rarely called me unless it was something urgent. The last time I got a call like this, everything in my life changed. I didn’t want to imagine what it could be this time.

I leaned back against the wall, staring at my phone, hoping that maybe, just maybe, my father was exaggerating. But knowing him, that was highly unlikely.

I looked out the window of the Ashton Estate. The house was still quiet, which made this situation even more tense. I couldn’t just disappear without notice.
