Edison stared at Ryan for a long time. Just like Ryan had predicted, his face didn't look shocked or surprised. That quality must have been what made it possible for Edison to remain as the fake head of the company.

Beside Ryan, Brice was tapping his feet slowly and quietly on the marble floor. He wiped his hands on his pants but it was only a matter of seconds before they became wet again. It seemed as if his heart was going to explode as the seconds went by and Ryan and Edison stared at each other.

"You know, Mr Ryan, there is an extent to which you can insult people," Edison said, his voice cold and chilly but it had no effect on Ryan.

"Does that sound like an insult? I told you I want to meet the real boss," Ryan said, maintaining the  quiet voice that seemed to be a whisper.
