Chapter 56

Mrs Hill tried to hold in the shame she felt without betraying any emotions. She plastered a smile on her face. She couldn't look at Ryan or anyone in the room. If Edison had said those words to her without Ryan's been around, it wouldn't have hurt that badly. By now, she was sure Ryan was gloating. With one last glance at the chairman, she went to where she had sat earlier and packed her things.

"Mr Ryan, I'm so sorry about what just happened. Please come in," Edison said, a smile on his face.

As they walked off, Mrs Hill stared at them. She tried to make sense of what just happened. The only thing she realized was that Ryan was a major problem. She didn't know what his connection with Edison was all about but she knew it was nothing other than some shady relationship. Ryan must be looking to cheat someone again.

She sank into the seat. Ryan is just like a beast with a lot of heads. What if Ryan is trying to get back at her family because
