Chapter 6

At that time, Henry followed the hospital staff who escorted him to the VIP room where Lily was. Henry requested the most classy room in the hospital, with the best facilities of course. After two years of taking Lily to live in trouble, this time Henry wanted to give the best for his wife.

“Sir, this is your wife’s new room. We have also prepared the best facilities and the best medicines for your wife. Every morning the doctor will visit to check your wife's condition. If you need anything, please ring the bell here, then the nurse will come to help you soon," said the man.

Henry nodded his head. "Thank you so much for your help."

"We felt grateful because you would forgive our cashier's mistake earlier. If there's nothing else I can help with, then I'll say goodbye," said the man while bowing respectfully.

For the first time in his life Henry felt respected and being treated well by someone else. He remembered, a moment earlier the nurses and hospital staff bowed to him to pay respects. It was something he had never felt before.

Henry was very grateful that the help from God seemed to have come on time. After the man left his room, Henry stepped closer to Lily's bed. He saw his wife sleeping. Slowly, he stroked Lily's hair gently.

"Honey, I promise that from now on I will not make your life difficult and do not let other people humiliate you anymore. I will make you happy. You will never be in pain again, and I will make those who insulted you pay for what they did to you," Henry whispered in Lily's ear. Even though Lily couldn't possibly hear it, Henry was quite satisfied to be able to say all that to Lily.

“Thank you for accepting me as I am. Even though you know I'm poor... you stay loyal. You are willing to live in a simple, dirty flat for almost two years. You are even willing to sell the jewelry you own one by one just to pay our bills,” said Hendry.

The man remained sitting beside Lily's bed while stroking Lily's hair gently and looking at his wife's beautiful face.

Not long after, Lily woke up. She was surprised because she was currently in the VIP room. She glanced at Henry suspiciously.

"Where are we?" asked Lily, “this is not an ordinary room. Henry, do you take me to the VIP room?” asked Lily nervously.

Henry nodded his head. "Yes Honey, you are currently in the VIP room. You don't need to worry about everything, you'll be fine soon. I promise if you are healthy we will find a new home that is more appropriate to live in."

"What do you mean? You have no money at all Henry, and, how are we going to pay for the hospital bills? This is VIP room. And this is sure the price will be very expensive compared to the ordinary rooms. Or... could it be Albert Brown who put me into this room? Is he asking for anything in exchange for me to marry him, is that right?" Lily spoke at length because she was confused by what happened at that time.

Henry shook his head and then smiled. "Lily, trust me. I made all these miracles, of course with the help of the good people that God sent to save us. Please, trust me,” Henry begged.

Lily nodded her head. "Of course I believe you. In fact, I trust you more than my family,” she said.

“Then, just believe me if from now on our lives will change. I was helped by one of my late father's old friends. Coincidentally, I just met him and he helped me," said Henry.

Henry remembered Oliver's words, he was asked not to reveal his true identity to anyone. So, to be on the safe side, Henry decided to keep it a secret from Lily.

"But, if you do get help, why hasn't your father's friend been willing to help all this time?" Lily asked.

Lily is a smart woman. She certainly did not easily believe Henry's words. Especially after what they've been through for the past two years. They live in misery and no one helps them. So, it would be impossible if Henry suddenly got help from someone he said was a friend of his late biological father. "You're not lying to me, are you?" she asked.

Henry took a deep breath then looked at his wife. “I'll tell you later, I just hope you trust me completely. Although later it will be very difficult to understand. But, believe me I didn't do anything that violated the law. Just trust me,” said Henry.

For a few moments, Lily looked into her husband's eyes. She saw no lie there.

Lily still wanted to ask, but suddenly Henry hugged her.

“I promise honey... from today onwards I will pay for all the sacrifices you have made to defend our love."

Lily, who felt very comfortable in her husband's arms, only nodded in approval. "You are my husband, I never felt like I was sacrificing anything to be able to live with you," she said softly.

The two of them broke the hug, and they looked at each other happily. Lily believed that Henry would never lie to her. Likewise Henry, he was determined to always make Lily happy and make Lily the queen of his life.

Suddenly, Lily's phone rang. Henry stared at the phone screen and then handed the phone to Lily.

"Who is calling?" she asked.
